The old style hotel was within easy access of the station. The views were spectacular. The staff were efficient, helpful, polite and courteous. The associated restaurant was excellent - even if a bit pricey! (However the views are to die for!!)

The bathroom - my wife and I are tall and the shower/bath is extremely tight. Entry and exit to the bath/shower would be a challenge for elderly or those with any hip/knee issues.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Grand Swiss, and it exceeded all my expectations in every way possible. Without a doubt, this is a solid five-star gem in the heart of Switzerland. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the hotel is unparalleled. From the lobby to my room, everything sparkled and gleamed with an attention to detail that left me thoroughly impressed. The views from this hotel are nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the Swiss Alps outside my window was a truly mesmerizing experience. I could hardly believe I was lucky enough to witness such natural beauty from the comfort of my room. Speaking of comfort, the bedding here is outstanding. It felt like sleeping on a cloud, and I had some of the most restful nights of sleep in a long time. I truly appreciated the attention to quality and comfort in this regard. Last but certainly not least, the staff at the Hotel Grand Swiss were exceptional. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly and accommodating. Their warmth and willingness to assist with any request made me feel right at home. In summary, the Hotel Grand Swiss is a true five-star gem. Impeccable cleanliness, awe-inspiring views, luxurious bedding, and a friendly staff make it a top-notch choice for anyone visiting Switzerland. My stay was a memorable and delightful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay.

Nothing to dislike

it’s the perfect location - just next to the train station with a great view. The best bed ever it was super comfortable. And we were kindly upgraded because of my birthday

being aggressively barked at by one of the restaurant staff members (Julien) for taking a photo on the balcony! in all my years of travel I’ve never been approached so aggressively in a hotel as by this little rude man that has a lot to learn about hospitality

I was a little concerned as we stayed last year and left are credit card details for if we decided to have a drink or eat in the hotel, but you didn't take any money, I was presented with a demand for 300 swiss francs and given I had already paid for my stay I was a little unhappy, I did confirm 100 francs but even then other than the tax which I sorted on departure we spent nothing, I totally understand you get issues with guests not paying for everuthing, but I think ir could be handled better

In general like, but one think for guests there should be a night bar service managed by the night porter

One of the biggest factors in selecting this hotel was its proximity to the train station. The station could not have been more convenient! But, in addition, we were thrilled with our beautiful room with a balcony and view — easily the nicest and most comfortable accommodations in 2 weeks in Switzerland and France. Staff at the desk was exceptionally helpful and the bountiful buffet breakfasts were something to look forward to!

Price was a bit high — but not unusual compared to other properties we stayed at in Switzerland

The room and toilet were clean and comfortable! The balcony was a bonus as it was very relaxing to chill there in the morning with a cup of coffee!

The room was a little too cramped up due to the coffee table and sofa chair and we have not much space to leave our luggages open. There was no electrical point near the bed which was quite inconvenient as we would need take turns to charge our devices on the study table instead - which was the only power point we can find that was available.

Very nice, quiet and stylish room. Excellent location, close to both the train station and the city center & lake. Beautiful hotel, highly recommended & would definitely return.

Restaurant staff was not very helpful (or overwhelmed by many guests after lockdown), one felt unwelcomed in the bar and we had to wait quite long to be noticed. Attitude was not solution driven ("we have no desserts in offer", although they had them on the menu & the restaurant is also next door). Breakfast buffet is also not great, even though they sell it as "very good breakfast" on booking.

It’s a great old hotel that is directly across the street from the train station which makes it a perfect location for day trips and train usage. It has been recently renovated and it’s beautiful. Room was a Lakeview junior suite with a balcony. Air conditioning is very important to me and they probably have the Best air conditioning in Montreux!

Marriott operates this property and it’s lost some of its “local charm” as it’s like staying in other American hotel. They even have wash cloths! Unlike all other hotels I have stayed at in Switzerland. We paid extra for the breakfast and while it wasn’t “bad” it was not worth what we paid and it’s not the best I have had in Switzerland . Again, it has been Americanized. It’s not the typical Suisse breakfast. It was the same thing everyday and we were there for 2 weeks.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Directly opposite the train station. The staff were happy and friendly. The room was lovely with a beautiful outlook to the lake and snow capped mountains. The entrance to the Christmas Markets was across the street and is a must to visit in December. Could not fault this hotel.

It would have been nice if the restaurant was open for dinner between Christmas and New Year but appreciate staff need a break to. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants close by so it wasn't too much of a problem.

Our room was perfect! The view was so beautiful! We would come back for sure! The location was absolutely perfect!!

The receptionists were 2 women, who were terrible and rude. I have been to so many hotels in my life but that was a first for us to be treated badly. We noticed that they were replaced. Hopefully!
