Hotel Bernerhof Grindelwald

I love the location

Not been informed about the bathroom not a waterproof And felt bad about wetting the floor. In future hope you able to advise customers in advance.

The hotel is immaculate. The location perfect for skiers and snowboarders. Most of all the staff! Wow. Ive stayed in amazing hotels throughout the world. But the staff here could not do enough and were sensational. Absolutely amazing I can't say enough positive things. Everyone who was with me keeps commenting about it and even some visitors we had who were staying elsewhere said how amazing they were. Thankyou so much!

The one and only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the beds in the room. They were extremely comfortable but no double bed. And my wife and I had two single beds but they kept slipping apart. The staff did try their hardest to help but it didn't work. Just needs a double bed option or some way of putting them together better.

They upgraded us from a triple to a family room so we had more space. Staff was exceptional very friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast room and nice selection. Location was perfect!!!! Rental place attached and buses or trains right across the street. Tea and coffee available no charge in the lounge.

Pillows could use a refresh and toilet room with shower was a bit tiny, but i was very happy to have a bathtub. Sink was in the main room. Breakfast room closes at 10am which is a shame as its a lovely place to sit wirh bigger windows and sunshine!

Grindelwald is one of the most beautiful towns and the stay at Bernerhof Hotel was as beautiful. Ilias and Asa require special mention. They were most helpful and friendly and made us feel very comfortable and special. The hotel is a 2 minutes walk from the station. The linen is changed everyday. There is tea and coffee always available. The sit out /porch overlooking the mountains is amazingly awesome. We would sit there till 10 pm and enjoy our drinks and dinner. You are welcome to bring your takeaway food and have it there. They also have a locker room to accommodate your luggage. Full service hotel Absolute 10/10

The best was the spectacular view of the stunning Mt. Eiger from the front of the hotel. Furthermore, the hotel is perfectly situated with lots of other small towns with sight-seeing spots within a small radius, and tons of hiking and biking trails through the mountains in the area. Public transport and a small town centre (grocery store, souvenir shops, and restaurants) were also right around the corner of the hotel. The hotel staff at the reception was friendly. The room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was decent.

The property has paid parking spots for 8 CHF (~€7.45) per day, and there are not enough parking spots. So in addition to paid parking, you are not assured of finding a parking spot every day (if the hotel is fully booked). Hotel staff at breakfast was pretty grumpy. Breakfast did not really include any gluten-free or vegan options. The room and bathroom were rather small (we had a small Eiger view room), but that was not a real problem since we were just with the two of us.

Love the proximity to Grindelwald station which is a godsend after the long days of sightseeing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I love the room, it was very cozy and the bathroom is clean. Breakfast buffet was yummy! The view from the breakfast place was simply stunning. I had the chance to rest in the lounge with the free flow tea and it was super relaxing with the view of the Eiger.

Although I enjoyed the breakfast, it was the same selection every day so some people might get tired of it after a long stay. There was one morning when the lift took incredibly long, where I waited for about 15 mins before I gave up and just used the stairs, but it might be a one-off delay.

I loved the location as it was near the train station and town activities. The staff was very friendly compared to most areas we visited and the breakfast was surprisingly delicious. You get free coffee and tea until 9:30pm I believe it was. We loved bringing food here and eating on the balcony enjoying the view.

I did not like how uncomfortable the beds were but after a long day of walking it didn't matter. The size of the bathroom was also very smal. I also wish they had an onsight restaurant incase you don't feel like walking to get food.

Location is optimal, steps away from the train station. This place really makes you feel like home. The staff is super friendly, well trained and 100% customer oriented. Breakfast delicious, variety of fruits, cereals, bread, hot options too. The lounge is cozy well equipped with teas and great view. Beds comfortable and rooms super quiet.

I cannot think on anything I did not like. They even have umbrellas if you missed to bring one.

The location is very nice as it is just near to the train station and can be reached by walk in 5minutes, we actually met a big rain when we arrive and luckily we got just short distance to reach. The view from the room is so nice as we can just lye on bed to view it. Also we can order the breakfast in advance for the next morning when we plan to travel to Jungfraujoch by using the morning ticket as we will not have time to have the breakfast at the hotel.

Great location, lovely and welcoming staff, clean and cosy rooms with a splendid view of Mount Eiger. Nice spread for breakfast. Also offers a nice cosy lounge area with free coffee and tea.

The bathroom was very small for the small double room but good sized for our parents’ deluxe double room.
