fabulous food in tbe restaurant, really nice staff and saltsjobaden is a great place to go on holiday, I also loved the views across the bay and the reception staff very helpful, we enjoyed the jazz style music in the upstairs bar, which was quite glamorous, we had a great stay and i think i will come back sometime xx

i think more vegatarian options for food in paviliongen retaurabt.. also my friends room ( number 333) needed a bit of renovating, and so do the showers in the en suites xx

Well, we got of to a bad start when I couldn’t get into my room, because the key card wasn’t working. After try 3, the friendly staff upgraded us to a better room, so I will say that was really great.

I would have like more options at the spa. The jacuzzi was very small, maybe add more. You can’t get any spa treatments unless you book in advance, which was a pity, but I guess that’s normal. The main restaurant: definitely the biggest let down. Over priced, unfriendly staff and the bar next door had better food and service!

Location was great with super easy way to get to Stockholm. Breakfast was great no complaints. The room was excellent. The outside bar - restaurant had good quality food and drinks. Prices were fine considering the milieu.

The lack of air con is only an issue for a handful of nights on Sweden so not a big deal but during our night it would have been useful. The outside of the building will need further work sooner rather than later.

We absolutely loved Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. We only stayed one night, but it was perfect. The room feels like it is in a Castle. Beautifully decorated with wood. The bed was amazing and it had a great view. The breakfast hall was busy, but there was more than enough food. The area around the hotel is beautiful and I wish we had more time to explore the Hotel and the area. It is a great Hotel for couples or families.

Timeless classic hotel situated next to the waterfront just outside Stockholm. A luxurious place where one can get pampered at the spa and feel like a royal for the day. Professional and courteous staff who where very helpful and accommodating. We had a beautiful room with big windows, high ceilings, and a small terrace overlooking the water. The room was spotless, the linens were crisp and the bathroom had a towel warmer and L'Occitane toiletries. Amazing breakfast in a grand setting with countless options including vegan and gluten-free choices. We loved our stay at this beautiful historical property.

Magnificent hotel that lived up to expectations. The staff were amazing and went the extra mile and more. The spa was first class. The bedroom was warm and comfortable with one of the best beds we have ever slept on. The location and view in the heart of the archipelago were truly unbeatable. Thank you.

Very good first impression already at the check-in, really friendly staff, providing good information. Obviously the hotel location is first class, but what really was nice was the overall ambience created by the vintage interior, the blend of guests and the friendly staff.

Only small annoyance was the quite small bathroom and a too short shower curtain, allowing water to splash onto the floor.

The location is superb, and the staff is extraordinarily service minded and efficient. The breakfast was extremely good with everything one could expect available,. We liked the fact that the room was very large + the beautiful sea view

The room, (311)although large was very impractical. The large space w. as used in a way that made the room difficult to use. For example - nowhere to put even one suitcase. There is a fold-down shelf, but it can not be used since the TV stand is in the way. It is almost incredible that a large double room only has one chair. '

The hotel has beautiful architecture, with fantastic common areas, a lovely restaurant/breakfast room, and garden areas. The atmosphere is very good, with great service. The room is comfortable, big enough, and nice products from l'Occitane in the bathroom. We had an entry for the spa area, although we did enjoy it we both thought it was a bit pricey since the room is already quite costly. The outdoors of the hotel are lovely and we had a very romantic evening walk. Nice dinner at the restaurant and fantastic breakfast!

Black-out curtains for the rooms would be needed. The spa is nice but since you only have access to a wet area might have a cheaper entrance for the hotel guests.

Great location overlooking the lake

The main restaurant lacked ambience & didn’t have much variety on the menu. The restaurant down by the lake was far nicer. The whole hotel looked tired & could do with a refresh
