Zylan Colombo

Loved my stay here. I was here for 11 nights and it felt like home at the end. The staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The first room I was given was noisy, so they moved me to one at the front of the building - I really appreciated this since I was there for a long stay. The Japanese restaurant is fabulous. I ate there several times, It's a little pricey by Colombo standards but great food and service.

There was nothing to dislike apart from the noisy room I started in. It was near the restaurant so lots of clattering of plates etc. Be sure to ask for a quiet room.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Colombo. It's a boutique hotel with lovely ambience. Very friendly staff and love the Zen Japanese restaurant. Highly recommended!!

The breakfast was nice but not as plentiful as in other places we stayed in, in Sri Lanka. Staff were very friendly. We had an issue with our shower the first night and it was promptly resolved in a relatively short space of time. Room was very spacious and nice, and our private balcony was almost as big as the room. Was great to actually have a restaurant there which we ate at on the first night, a Japanese rooftop restaurant, the food was really good. (Almost every other place we stayed in Sri Lanka said it had a restaurant on the premises but it turned out to be the eating area where you ate breakfast.)

I didn't see it but my husband went for a swim the second morning and he stated that it didn't look very clean on the bottom.

A fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Colombo. Zylan is a great place to stay for a few nights in Colombo before heading out to the beaches or mountains. The staff are super friendly, the restaurant is awesome, the rooms are large and quiet, and the vibe of the hotel is fantastic. This hotel is great value for money!

Unfortunately, the outdoor pool was just closed for maintenance the day we arrived. The bed was a little bouncy, so we didn't sleep so well.

The colonial inspired design is beautiful, with great attention to details., Great location, not far from the center in a lively area close to Cinnamon gardens. Very good breakfast and nice rooftop bar for the evening.

We arrived late at night and although we advised for late check- in nobody was there, it took a while to find someone to talk to.

Our stay at Zylan Luxury Villa was a wonderfully tranquil experience that left a lasting impression. The tasteful decor and attention to detail made the surroundings truly inviting. The staff's warm hospitality and genuine helpfulness added to the overall charm. I especially enjoyed spending time by the pool, a refreshing spot that allowed me to relax amidst the lush environment. The koi pond added a delightful touch to the atmosphere.

The room wasn't as nice as in the pictures.

Breakfast was good, Service attentive. The staff were also quite flexible about times which was something that I really appreciated. Sri Lankan omelette delicious.

If I had one criticism quality of bread - possible to make their own and I'd do this. The kind of clientele that visit the hotel would really appreciate this gesture.

Such friendly and accommodating service by every staff member. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious with excellent choices. Very relaxing after the busyness of Colombo. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked it again for the end of our trip.

We personally didn't like the first room we were offered but they were very helpful in offering us an alternative

Lovely large room with a sitting area plus a very big bathroom and added dressing room. Original old doors and window shutters. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate our needs.

No milk or creamer is provided in the room. There was little natural light even though the room had large patio windows as the balcony was shadowed with vegetation and shuttered windows had no glass.

The property location is fantastic. Great cafes, supermarket, boutiques, restaurants in walking distance. Very quiet location. The Zylan has great interiors, music and a very calming vibe at the property. The team at the property including the front desk Tuwon and Shakir, at the restaurant Nimal and Shajid took very good care of us. Chef Sampath took special care of us by preparing very tasty vegetarian Jain food. They all made our stay a truly memorable one.
