Abitta Boutique Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The old Comfort Inn has been totally refurbished, the place is very attractive now. It's still in the same kinda unappealing location however, up a slight grade on broken sidewalks to Ashford Ave. Still, not more than 2 minute walk to the main drag in Condado. The area is full of old apartment houses, condo conversions and some dated single family houses, it's in the process of going upscale, at the end of the street a huge construction project is ongoing, tall new condo building. They close that end of the street from time to time so we had some problems with Uber drivers getting to the hotel. Beds were comfy. Good shower with lots of hot water. Strange off-brand coffee maker in the room. Mini-Microwave and cube fridge in room also. The pool is small with only about 6 loungers and 3 Adirondack chairs. I didn't go in the pool, it was full of kids jumping in and out and you know what that means. Breakfast was welcome, very few hotels in SJ offer a free breakfast. Nothing fancy, serve yourself, they had a waffle maker, eggs, sausages, breakfast pastries and muffins + the worst watery orange juice, couldn't drink it. Coffee was good. Small exercise room next to the breakfast room, both are in the pool area so you walk to the pool to get breakfast. The price was high for a Comfort Inn but given the location in Condado it was half of the major hotels like La Concha. They charge a $25 daily "resort fee" on top of the bill, which is ridiculous but you'll see it when you check out. For me, an extra $100. In what way is a Comfort Inn a resort? The name was changed to Abitta, which is confusing to people trying to find the place. Hotel is about 7 stories but only 8 rooms on a floor so total room count is under 60 rooms.

Breakfast, although free, was basic, the tiny room you eat in was too crowded. Nothing was proper temperature. OJ horrible, flavored water. Pool is tiny and too full of kids for my taste. The area the hotel is located in is kinda unappealing, potholes in the streets, broken sidewalks, old tired buildings from the 1960s.

I loke the veriety , is clean, the food is good.

I need , more viriety of milk lile almond, soy or wheat no lactose for my alllergies

Went on last minute girls trip. Hotel is in a great location Never did I once feel unsafe and I came in and out at all times from the hotel. The beach was walking distance. (I would say like a 5min walk) They also have breakfast included. Just the basics tho nothing over the top but I didn't mind it.

Only thing is that they are remodeling the hotel so they don't have a front desk at the moment so you have to go to the hotel next to them too check in/out The first night they gave us a room where the ac wasn't working but once we went over they moved us to another room without hesitation . I would definitely book again.

Location was amazing. Walk everywhere. Short Uber ride to site see. Front desk lady at night was amazing above and beyond.!!! I'm sorry I don't remember her name. Gentleman in the morning when we left was great too.

No coffee until 7 and it was next door. I know there was a coffee maker in the room but this requires us to buy water and cream carry it back. Also it was a double room we had one pod of reg one pod of decaf. I know they would of been nice enough to accommodate the extra pods but who wants to carry water and supplies to make coffee.

The facility is very cozy and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. A plus, breakfast was included and offered omelette, waffle, french toast, bread, pastries, coffee, yogurt, juices, etc…

The only downside to my stay was that there was no warm/hot water for showering. The air conditioner was very cold, even turning the thermostat up to 80 degrees, it stayed like 62 degrees. However, as the stay was only for two nights, I did not report it to management to see if they could do anything about it.

I loved the proximity to the beach, access to Uber. Also not far from other beaches like Isla Verde. The Pool was also nice for the kids.

The breakfast was not the most tasty. It was the same stuff everyday (watery waffle mix that were very dry when cooked, pancakes or french toast, cereal, watered down juice (Apple, Cranberry, and Soursop). Also ran out of clean beach towels at the pools, but the staff were nice and provided towels when requested. I wish they cleaned the rooms more daily. Some light cleaning was done every other day.

Close to everything. restaurant, shops and beach!

our room was dirty with a sticky substance that attracted a lot of ants and, our sheet had blood stain on it. So, upon arrival into the room, we had to alert front desk who told us they were no other rooms available. we had to wait while someone came to clean and change our sheets. They were doing renovations. no access to buffet. Breakfast was pre packaged and super nasty. so much so after throwing away the first mornings prepackaged breakfast, we ate breakfast at restaurants nearby every morning instead. Wish we knew that before paying extra for breakfast to be included.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The shower was nice. It was clean. The location made it easy to access the area by walking.

The food for breakfast wasn't warm and I would have liked to choose the food I received. I have a gluten intolerance, tried to ask for other options but they were unable to understand my needs.

The balcony attached to the room was amazing and had a gorgeous view. The location couldn’t be better!

Lots of construction going on in the buildings around the hotel. It could also use some TLC in the common areas

The bedroom was great. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of options like: pancakes, waffles, bread, French toast, yogurt, fruit, omelet, sausage, coffee, teas, etc. The cleaning of the bedroom was great too, we would leave in the morning and when got back in the afternoon the bedroom was clean and had clean towels. The location was very good, near the beach, great restaurants and bars.
