Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado del Mar Beach Resort

We loved the location of the property in Dorado and how close the beach was.

Could not get ahold of property prior to visiting to confirm reservation or to speak with anyone prior. Also prices changed from booking.com to when we arrived to pay.

I loved the food great flavor, the cleanliness and that the breakfast was included is the best! Also the complimmentary drinks per day were nice.

Even though I loved it all, I would suggest to include a souvenier shop with last minute items such as toothpaste and other products of basic needs perhaps. The sink was clogged no biggy but you need to look into it. The living room area needs better lighting. Also you might want to consider on the menu some type of soup. I did not like that the pool filter or water cascade was turned off at some times with so many people in the pool it made the water look somewhat dirty. The music at the pool you might want to consider other variety, the reggaeton everytime was boring. There are so many singers out you can consider example: Adam Levine, Tito Nieves, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Taylor Swift. Not all needs to be reggaeton. Maybe when covid allows it you can include family or children activities.

loved the comfortable bed, the shower, the pool and hot tub, and the breakfast every morning and food in the restaurant was excellent!

Amazing location. Great view. Lots of pools and things to do around the area. Beach access was a huge plus.

No late night snacks or light meal options. There was nothing available to eat after arriving after 10 pm each night.

I enjoyed how convenient the beach access was. If you're booking just for the beach, this would be a good deal for you.

Ok. It's SO much I can say about what I didn't like but I'm just going to touch on what matters the most. First of, I know we are dealing with a pandemic and I expected it to be some restrictions. However, the restrictions they had in place were extreme. We didn't find out until we got to the hotel that there was a 9pm curfew and when I tell you when they say curfew they mean curfew!! No food, no beach, absolutely NOTHING after 9. You basically have to do everything before 9, including eat because the bars, everything closes at 9 including anything you can do off the property . Also, they served the same breakfast during our entire stay, it' was not good either. I feel like if it was not for the curfew, it would've been epic.

the property came at a big surprise, as you enter the hotel, there is a beautiful atrium with plants and even fishes in a pond surrounding a dining area, also on location is a coffee snack shop, and a restaurant that opens later in the day, as you exit outside there doors to enter the pool area, it is surrounded by many different level pools and never feels crowded, and there is a open cafe bar to get food and drinks as you stay by the pool, also they have a wonderful private beach yes it does have some seaweed but the water is clear and perfect. it’s nice that you don’t really have to leave the location to food or drinks, or even to get to a nice beach!

at the time we were there there was a little bit of construction inside, and only one elevator working.

I love the staff. Joshua, Carlos, Nicole, Nestor and Rodriguez were extremely nice and helpful. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed, but Joshua was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were nice, the facility itself was in a great location. Breakfast was decent, just wished they offered more of a variety of food selections. The water get extremely hot, so taking nice hot showers was a plus. Overall, my sister and I had a wonderful time. ☺️

I didn't like that our room was right off the elevator, but we were able to get another one the next day. After scanning the sheets with my blue light, I discovered that some of the sheets weren't cleaned. I didn't like that the hours of food, massages were limited and I definitely didn't care for the sand on the man-made beach! It was very rocky and hard to walk on. Make sure to book your excursions right when you get there, otherwise, you may not be able to get a space.
