Hotel Tulipa

I highly appreciate the hotel staff, very professional, well trained, very polite, kind and warm, always helpful. Also, the impeccable cleanliness and the varied breakfast, rich in offer, with simple and healthy food, adapted to all preferences and tastes. The location is excellent, especially if you travel for work and need peace. Hotel Tulipa keeps you away from traffic, commercial and tourist life. Although situated at five minutes from the Central Square of the city, the street is pleasant and very quiet.

There should be a little fridge in every room. Bragança is situated in a very warm area of Portugal, and this simple possibility of keeping cold water and some other refreshing drinks permanently at your disposal, especially during the summer, is a must, not a whim. There was not such an object in my room, although in the confirmation of my booking it was specified. I am sorry to mention here this not so agreeable aspect, because all the other things were very very good, exactly as you would want and expect them to be.

I booked the Tulipa Hotel at short notice because it was close to the local hospital. As my travelling companion had an accident on his motorbike and was taken to Braganca Hospital. The hotel staff were brilliant and very accommodating after I explained the situation. After my friend came out of hospital, they were happy to move the rooms around to suit our situation. The restaurant in the hotel has a superb menu and an excellent choice. In fact, I would say that the food was the best that we had in Braganca, after having eaten in a couple of restaurants in town as well. The hotel and restaurant staff were superb and went well above and beyond what they needed to. We will most definitely be going back there.

There was nothing that we didn't like about the hotel.

Central location. Very friendly/helpful staff. Very good coffee selection, bean to cup, premix or filter. Breakfast had a good selection, boiled eggs, ham cheese with lovely bread. Evening meals a bit limited for vegetarians but it is also a pizzeria and the Margarita freshly made pizza was fantastic. Rooms on the small side but bathrooms very roomy ours had a huge shower, twin sinks and a bidet.

As I said it's in the centre so no outside bar area, also no reserved parking but as my mate and I were on motorbikes this wasn't an issue for us as we could park by the main entrance.

The hotel is very cozy, clean and the staff is great. The common spaces are arranged with taste and style. The room is very clean and the bed is really comfortable. Joao the receptionist deserves a raise - he was one of the most polite and helpful ever.

The breakfast could have more hot meals. The desk from the room could use a chair - if you have to work, you can only stay on bed.

The staff was excellent - great location, great restaurant where the breakfast was served - everything was clean and and quiet at the hotel - I did get what the hotel promised me - so I was happy :)

I had to change room in the beginning because there was no desk in the room I got originally - but for one word they did change a room for me and there was no problem in anything after thet

Good location and free parking on street or nearby. Good breakfast served and nice staff.

My first impression when entering the restaurant area looks like it is not clean. Probably a renovation could give another another impression. Rooms and bed sheets could be improved in the cleanliness aspect (dusty in the corners).

The location in the city is good. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Free parking on the street outside. Clean rooms and very good shower.

There was one thing that I did not like. That was the overabundant use of washing detergent or fabric softener. The whole room smelled and after lying down in bed, your clothes would pick it up. I hope this was a one-time mistake but it did impact our stay because the smell was just too much.

Very good service and kind welcome. Parking spots available all around. Good central location to explore city. Hotel is next to a restaurant and no need to get out of building to have a meal.

At night it was a bit difficult to find it because of a lack of sign out front or too small. I missed it 2 times while driving and came back on foot to find it.

Very friendly staff, great restaurant and breakfast. Very clean rooms. Would recommend 100%. Great little hotel for little money.

On street car park. Rooms are not greatly soundproofed, you could hear outside aircons all night long but overally 9 out of 10.

Friendly personnel, good breakfast. Convenient location within walking distance to the centre of the town. The room is rather small but clean and airy. Comfortable bathroom. It was easy to park the car on the streets around (during the weekend)
