Hotel Polonia Palace

location, cleanest hotel I have been in, reception, late restaurant working hours on new years eve, room service excellent, great breakfast in bed

common breakfast, the 1 day we went down for breakfast which was til 11.00 ( new year) and We arrived in restaurant at 10.40 and get attitudes from front desk lady that we have to hurry cause soon is finished. She didn’t show up for 10 minutes so we was waiting in front the breakfast room door to give our room number. I think 10.30 when breakfast is til 11,00 on the 01.01 is more then enough time and attitudes was unnecessary.

The size and comfort of the room is great. Check in was very friendly and informative. Location couldn't be better for my needs. Breakfast as always in Poland is just superb.

Well, my king size bed was just 2 single beds put together. Although I liked the b-fast itself, the staff working there is just miserable, zero interaction, they looked like they were working there as a punishment. Check out comparing with check in just nah. Girl came out still chewing whatever she was eating behind the scene. Again no interaction such as "how was your stay or can I get you a taxi to the airport"? Zero. She just checked my room number and said "thats it, all paid, bye" As this was my I would say 10th stay in the hotel I think of checking the competition before deciding to stay at Polonia again. Does the hotel have some form of system to recognise returning guests?

Usually, I stay 3-4 times per year in this Hotel, therefore I know what I have to expect.

Temperatur in the room was quite high (air condition is only a Ventilation, not more...) and the Window could not be opened completely (explanation was for security reasons....) to get some fresh air in. No help at all from the reception, just a simple "sorry but we can't help here" which is for sure not acceptable in a Hotel of that level. Conclusion, Polonia Palace will remain my choice during the colder seasons in the year, if it is still warm outside, I will look for options, where at least a working air condition is available.

The location of Polonia hotel is really good, its near the palace of culture and the central station, that makes it easily accessible for going to any other place. Lots of street parking nearby, so I would suggest take a quick look at the street parking which could be cheap, rather than parking in metropolo hotel's parking which could be a bit pricey. The breakfast was superb, lots of options to choose from, eggs, omlettes, lots of cheese options, fruits, bakery items, breads etc, so the breakfast was really good.

Love the location and the historic building. Great food, very helpful staff. Super comfortable bed and it’s very clean! We stayed at room 416 which had a great view.

I found it a bit annoying that you’re ask to pay the room service fee when they bring your food. This should be charged to your room and pay at the check out. I had two lads waiting for me to find money in pitch dark room in the morning while my husband was still sleeping. On that note, please get trolleys so nobody has to come in the room. They can just wheel the food in and go. Will be much easier to clean up too. We had trays waiting for the room service to be taken and the cleaning lady was really unhappy with the amount of stuff she had to clean (after one breakfast). We felt a bit told off by her!

It was my second time staying at Polonia Palace Hotel and I'm sure not the last one. Perfect location, very good breakfast, nice and specious rooms and amazing service. There is nothing I can complain about. I'd like to mention that this time we used their spa as well and here too our experience was very good. Very professional, kind and helpful, adjusting the service to your needs. Smooth room service and their beef tatar ruined any other beef tatar experience around the city (best we have had anywhere in Warsaw and Gdańsk where we stayed a few days as well). Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful looking hotel in the heart of Warsaw with a great history and decent location. The rooms where spacious and very comfortable (especially for the price we paid) with excellent bathroom facilities and the usual coffee & sundries. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast meal was very good.

Oddly the coffee in the hotel was awful and what was a bit of a disappointment was that the restaurant/dining room was not open in the evening for 'proper' dining only the bar for bar meals. The bar staff were pretty good and the food in the bar was OK but not the dining experience you would expect in a hotel of this standard. We would recommend booking a restaurant nearby if you are after a finer dining experience; however if bar food is OK then it is better than average bar food.

The hotel is very centrally located in the city centre of Poland, within walking distance of the Palace of Cutlure and the main railway station. There are numerous shops and restaurants nearby. My room was very quiet and I slept well. I enjoyed the welcome drink at the bar. There was a good selection of hot and cold food available at breakfast. There was also a spa downstairs where I was able to have a relaxing body massage.

As the hotel is located in the city centre, local friends who are visiting you will need to be familiar with the one way streets and may also find it challenging to find street parking.

Great hotel right in the centre of Warsaw. Attentive, friendly staff. The room was a little on the small side but had everything I needed. Nice deco and very comfortable. I loved being rewarded with a bar voucher on days when I opted out form having the room made up. Great idea. The shoe shine machine outside the lift - a nice touch.

There was no iron in the room however iron with an ironing board were quickly provided when I requested from reception.
