Hotel Mercure Poznań Centrum

The house meets all the requirements of a contemporary hotel. The location is within walking distance to the main train station and directly at the streetcar stop. My room was spacious, clean, quiet and with free (non-alcoholic) drinks. Wide view of the city. Staff is friendly and speaks English. Bar open until midnight every night.

The hotel is quite far on foot from the historic center (which is currently just a huge construction site anyway). Breakfast may be good, but is very expensive (22 Euros). For those who just want a coffee and a croissant in the morning, definitely not a good option.

Clean modern hotel - lovely sized rooms and really well situated for decent transport links. Good onsite restaurant with lovely food and excellent breakfast selection.

Some of the reception staff really couldn't be bothered - when I asked for a local map I was given one in Spanish(I'm English) she broke off her conversation to grab it clearly without looking put it down and continued chatting. Likewise when I asked how to buy tickets for local transport just told to buy onboard but the system isn't that straightforward if you don't speak Polish. It's a pity as otherwise I would have rated this hotel top marks.

An outstanding hotel. In the spacious reception area you receive a warm welcome. Corridors and rooms are wide and cool. The bed is extremely comfortable. The breakfast room is huge - no fuss to get a table - and the choice of food and drinks is extensive. Of all the medium price hotels I've stayed in, this is by far the best.

the reception personnel was sometimes unfriendly and even unpolite, especially the older personnel, which reminded me of service I have received during the former Soviet era. The reception personnel would need some training in how to serve hotel guests.

Ideally located close to the main railway station and next to the exhibition centre. The building itself is attractively modernist and has been refurbihed quite sympathetically to current standards. Huge well appointed room with double bed, sofa/lounger, desk, chair etc. Kettle with selection of tea and coffee plus a fridge. Room was nice and quiet on the third floor with plenty of lifts. Excellent breakfast even pretty good for vegans (soya milk on request). Covid precautions taken and pretty well enforced.

Free internet but would be good to have some extra password protection on it.

Another shower stall designed by somebody who doesn't realize it's meant to keep the water INSIDE. Pastries at breakfast were underwhelming considering the hype I had heard from a friend who lives in Poznan.

It was a great experience. The location is very central and the room is as expected of Mercure :) a pleasant stay.

We came after midnight and have informed the hotel of our estimated arrival, but the staff accidentally started an audit process that made him unable to check us in for around 15 minutes. We were really tired, but we totally understand that such thing happens :)

The equipment is new and clean. Big room with stylish decoration. Very bright bathroom. Quiet. Very helpful staff.

Location. A little bit far from railway station by walk with big luggages. The amount of water in the shower is not big enough. There's no where to eat nearby.
