Grand Royal Hotel

Good breakfast choice - something for everyone. Some things need replenishing quicker at breakfast or you need to arrive for breakfast early. Staff were polite and friendly. Good bar area. We didn't use the pool but our family did and they enjoyed it.

We were originally allocated rooms on the top (second floor). I think this may be because we asked for double beds as a preference. There is a headroom issue with these rooms due to the dormer windows - it depends more as well on where they put the bed as we had adjoining rooms and one was definitely worse than the other. We asked to move down a floor and they did that. We would have been less happy if there had not been availability as it would be easy to bash your head on the wall of the dormer window - it was clear from the plaster damage that a number of people already had.

We stayed in Grand Royal Hotel a few times already and we can easily recommend it because it offers great value at a very affordable price. It's located right off the motorway with 24 hour open reception and free parking, which is very convenient. It offers great breakfast and coffee, great beer from tap, a swimming pool, jakuzi, sauna and billiards. Rooms are clean and quiet, beds are comfy and staff is friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

Dining tables are wobbling, which is very annoying if you have small kids who lean on the table. Internet connection is interrupted frequently because you need to log in or hit connect button from a browser again and again. We always happen to get twin beds pushed together instead of a double bed and our son slips into the crack at night and we have to look for him in the morning :) -Toilet seats are too close to the wall on one side.

Very convenient for travelers off the A2. Safe parking close to the hotel, cameras etc. Pet friendly, provided a chew for my dog upon arrival which was a nice touch. Not so many places to walk the dog but found a small dirt road leading into a covered path directly at the side of the hotel for walking (on right-hand side as you look at the hotel - watch out for the guard dogs within the large property boundaries next door - more bark than bite but passable). B'fast was a stand-out, very good. One of the widest choices I have seen in Poland and excellent quality. Open at 7am (on a Sunday morning) for early starters. As a traveler, I wasn't able to take advantage of all the facilities, so cannot comment but the hotel was clean, quiet, dog friendly and convenient.

At 1.90m and a rugby build, the shower cubicle was a little tight....

Loved the spa facilities, pool, sauna and gym. The food at the hotel restaurant was affordable ( 8 euro for a main meal ) and delicious. The breakfast had many variations, breads, hot foods, desserts and so on. The room was spacious and clean. The mattress was very comfortable. The drive to the airport is 20 minutes ( Poznan has Uber ). 15 drive to the main train station The receptionist was so helpful, was getting us a lot of water bottles free of charge. Wonderful experience. Will definitely be back.

pls have the swimming pool ready for my next visit it would be nice to have the empty area in front hotel organised as a wildflower garden, at the moment quite messy i had to pay extra for my dog but this wasn't mentioned when I booked

The place is spacious. Reception talks English so there is no problem to get information about your stay (which is sometimes problem in Poland). Room was neat and we had not heard any disturbing noises. The bed was big and comfortable to sleep. Sauna was relaxing. Temperature was not too high nor to low. We were happy with the breakfast. There was food to choose from.

Neither of two jacuzzis worked. The pool is very shallow and there is no bright light around.

Could be a typical roadside hotel for longer distance transit travellers. Located close to highway. Decent breakfast.

One of criteria for choice was location and annotated pool. It was disappointment to find out it was closed! No information on this. Another disadvantage - small bathroom with exceptionally small shower cabin.

We liked the hotel staff, especially at the reception. I also really liked that the hotel has a pool and saunas. it is very convenient to go down from the room directly to the spa area. the hotel prepares a very tasty and varied breakfast in the morning. everything was great, we plan to return to this hotel when the opportunity arises.

The hotel is very close to the motorway, which is a big plus if you are using the hotel for an overnight stay for an onward journey. The staff is very courteous and friendly. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We were leaving early the next day and were not sure if we would have the time to use the swimming pool in the evening. The lady at the reception offered to open the pool early than the scheduled time, so that we could use it. The restaurant is very good. We tried some authentic Polish dishes and were very happy with the food quality.

The hotel could do with a make over. It's now showing its years.

Convenient location, warm pool (a 4-year-old child is very comfortable), a separate place for the child to sleep, a small extra pillow for everyone, water in the room, hair dryer, dryer (so that swimsuits and towels have time to dry before the next visit to the pool start)
