Mad Monkey Hostel Nacpan Beach

It was super social and the beach is amazing!

It is very hot in the rooms even at night with the fans on (super Loud) so it is very hard to cool down and the bathrooms felt dirty.

Amazing beach just in front of the hostel. Good music all day so do not expect quietness. The hostel has a nice bar restaurant with decent food and drinks, anything fancy but it’s okay. The toilets, room and bed were big and comfy, they have a good number of toilets so you don’t need to wait. You have a big locker in the room to lock your stuff. A great place to party and share with other travelers at the bar.

I really missed to have AC in the room as it is quite hot mostly during the day. You have a small, noisy fan above each bed but that is not enough during the day. Be aware that you need to walk about 10 minutes from the parking entrance to the hostel; that should be clarified in the description. It does not has to do with the hostel, but transport from and to El Nido town is limited unless you rent a bike. I booked 3 nights and end up going back to El Nido after second night. The place is nice but after two days you might get bored (if traveling solo).

Staff and manager Kurt were so sweet and caring. There were so many activities and fun games to choose from: karaoke, beer pong competition, volleyball tournament and other games which I missed because I was chatting myself away to so many cool people I met there! It’s not just visitors that come there, locals too as everyone enjoys the good atmosphere that was carefully crafted by the amazing staff. I will mention that this is a party hot-spot and people who may not know that may get surprised by how wild and funky this place gets! You would never tell that there was a party last night because of how clean and tidy everything looks the next morning. So if you’re missing a good party - Mad Monkey in Nacpan is the place to go to! And don’t worry, people who had very good time there will be the last ones to leave a review due to living a moment and enjoying their time there ✨

Some people who come there don’t necessarily know it’s a party hostel, so just keep that in mind when you’re reading the bad reviews as these will likely be the ones who wanted peace and quite but were presented with a wild party and lots of dancing

the beach is absolutely stunning no matter the time of day. the staff was so welcoming and remembers everyone’s name Maria, MJ, and Bianca were the absolute best along with all the staff at mad monkey. I also felt like everything was constantly being cleaned which was nice!

the wifi is pretty in and out but it was good to disconnect for a few days. I could scroll insta and FaceTime people sometimes, but would not plan to do any remote work while there. The bunk bed rooms can get pretty hot but they have fans and mosquito nets which were helpful.

without doubt the people. if you’re planning to do a Solo trip in El Nido, Palawan, this is the place to stay. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. they organise activities and island hopping tours during the day while throwing parties at night. they make sure everyone feels comfortable and create an environment where everyone is included. lots of information and recommendations. get to talk to everyone and get the bearings of the islands from people who have experienced before you. facilities are good value for money. rooms are decent and toilets are clean.

WiFi connection is poor. Fixing that would massively improve the customer experience.

It's right on the beach! Location is simply spectacular. The staff is lovely! The Ultimate Island hopping is very worth booking. Places aren't overcrowded. Izzy was a wonderful tour guide! Food is very tasty Clean rooms, bathrooms and surrounding Evening entertainments are fun! Bar open until 2am

There is no a/c in any of the rooms only fans, it gets really stuffy There is no a/c nor fans in the bar area, also gets super hot In my opinion, too much techno music, some more variety would be nicer

Super friendly staff and great service. Beautiful location on the beach. This hostel provides the fun of Mad Monkeys in a more secluded beach so less crowded. The negatives are subjective and little details, so I still gave it a 10 because I had fun

A bit out of the way from El Nido not so easy to get to you need to pay rather expensive tricycle or get the shuttle at certain times. Be prepared to have cash before you leave El Nido otherwise you may be stuck like me as there is only one ATM and is often not working/out of cash and they only take cash (I had to get a scooter on credit and go back to El Nido to find an ATM). No hot showers and low pressure

- Great location to spend some days directly at the beach - I can highly recommend doing the offered Tour M at the hostel. It was a lot of fun and the places we went weren’t crowded with tourists - Although a lot of people complained about the sandflies we weren’t bothered by them - Sleeping without an AC and only a ventilator was also no problem

A bit more expensive then other places, but with the location directly at the beach it’s totally worth it. Also, there is a great local restaurant next to the hostel.

The location alone is absolutly worth going there. Nacpan Beach has beautiful white sand and the water is christal clear. The staff at Mad Monkeys is very friendly and tries their best to help you out with any problems you might have. The reps, especially MJ and Dash, are awesome people and will make your stay very memorable! The parties were also nice. People should be aware, that it can be loud up until 12 Pm

Due to the lack of ACs in the rooms, sleeping can be difficult. The restaurant has some good items but also some items I wouldnt recommend. it is also a bit pricey for the quality their offering.

It would be beneficial for the hostel management to consider improving the pathway to ensure a more comfortable arrival for guests. Once you arrive at the hostel, though, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff make up for any inconvenience during the journey. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a decent place to rest after a night of revelry. Additionally, the hostel organized various day tours and activities, allowing guests to explore the beautiful surroundings and make the most of their stay. Overall, Mad Monkey Hostel in Nacpan El Nido is an excellent choice for travelers seeking an exciting nightlife experience. While the walk from the tricycle terminal to the hostel may be a bit challenging, the energetic atmosphere, friendly staff, and the unforgettable social experiences make it well worth the visit. Just be prepared for a bit of a beachfront trek to reach this lively hotspot in paradise.

Mad monkey does not have their own pathway. So you’ll need to walk for 10-15mins (depending how heavy your luggage) to get to the hostel.
