Hotel Arsenaal Delft

Beautiful architecture (original and modern combined), super friendly staff, super comfortable bed and bedding, great location

- Some things aren't working properly yet as it's a very new hotel (such as the ipad in the room, window was hard to close) but I'm sure those will be fixed soon - No good coffee or fresh orange juice in the morning - They don't know how to make hollandaise sauce - Water pressure is super low

This is an exceptionally good hotel. The design conversion to a hotel is high quality & interesting. It is smartly contemporary, tasteful, sensitive to its architectural heritage and very comfortable. The staff were quietly competent & helpful at all times. The location along an historic canal & close to the center of town is excellent. The single large Reception, lounge, Bar area & buffet area on the ground floor was comfortable, really pleasant & attractive. Our room on the canal side was light, well organised & the bed was luxurious. The breakfast buffet was very good.

The only downside was the inadequacy of bathroom fitout although the design & ambience was pleasing & high quality. Management encourage re-using towels etc. But there are no racks or hooks to hang them to dry or to temporarily place clothing. The shower area was good but the water leaked out of the shower cubicle and nowhere to dry a bathmat. All this could easily be fixed by management.

Hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was exceptionally clean, the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Though we arrived very early, we were pleasantly surprised that our room was already ready. The breakfast was one of the best provided breakfasts we have ever had, with not only buffet service, but personal order hot items that were served to our tables. The rooms were very large and very comfortable, there was more than sufficient public areas for sitting. One of our group was somewhat disabled and needed to travel by taxi to restaurants, etc. The staff was more than politely accomodating to assist us with these needs. We will definitely stay here again during a return to Delft.

Though this is a minor issue, guests should be made aware of the rather unusual taxi drop off/pickup situations here. The street drop off is a dead end lane by a canal. There is no way for taxi's or cars to turn around after dropping customers. They must back out about 100 yards to the nearest intersection. The front "door" of the hotel is not very evident, posing challenges for taxi drivers not familiar with the location to find the pickup/drop off location. The hotel company needs to provided much improved signage!!

The hotel is in a quiet location, but convenient for the town and the station. The room was large and comfortable, with a spotless bathroom and aircon that was more than capable of cooling us on an unusually hot day. The staff were absolutely marvellous - other hotels should take note - with a comfortable lounge area and a well-stocked bar. Breakfast had everything I could want. Nothing was too much trouble.

It seems almost churlish to complain about anything in this brilliant hotel, but I could have done with more storage in the bedroom - I was only staying 4 days, so it wasn't much of an issue, but if I'd been there for a week or more it would have been,

The location of the hotel is fantastic: near to the central station, near to all the restaurants, but still quiet in a beautiful gracht. The building itself is so beautiful. We were worried that it is a big, unpersonal hotel because it also has meeting rooms, but with the two floors it is just right!! The room was very charming, everything is very clean, modern but still elegant. Total recommendation!

The only thing that would have made it completely perfect would be a gym room. Also parking was quite expensive, but due to the location it seemed appropriate.

Beautiful architecture and decorating, very relaxed atmosphere, lots of natural light. Staff were helpful and friendly. Added special touches to my breakfast box. Coffee machine in my room was great. Bar is open until 11h00 and this was a very pleasant and comfortable space for business meetings. The hotel was quite full, but it never felt crowded and staff were very attentive.

Coat brush and hairdryer bag in my room were covered with old fluff. It could be great if you can rent a bike straight from the hotel. Elevator is incredibly slow.

The location is perfect about 7 minutes walk from the train station. And 5 minutes walk to the heart of the city (The main square). Surrounding is beautiful. Wonderful breakfast with stylish interior setting. The lobby, dinning room, and bar are well designed. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The management team is excellent. We received an email after we checked out saying we left an item at the room. Great staff and wonderful team.

nothing. Really nothing that I don't like. It's truly one of the best hotels with excellent quality of management and style. I will definitely come back.

A unique hotel. Its history, interiors and presentation all make this hotel incredibly special. The considerations of the historic location, the authenticity of the building, while updated to modern comforts, are incredibly well done. It is super cosy. The lobby, restaurant, stairs, hallways are beautiful, the room is tasteful, well appointed and with the most impressive beamed ceilings.

Parking will always be an issue in a historical center of a city. The hotel has its own parking, but it should be booked in advance. We did not book in advance, but the hotel helped us when we arrived.

The Hotel Arsenaal is out of this world. Elegant, relaxing and welcoming. An incredible built environment with understated modern design features. Wonderful rooms, super comfortable beds, and an excellent breakfast! I would return in a heart beat.

Nothing at all to improve. A suggestion for the future might be to offer a few more eating options during the day and evening. The small bites on the menu in the evening are wonderful but that might be an area where the hotel could further develop its offering.
