Ginza Grand Hotel

I read reviews saying the Ginza Grand was looking a little old and tired. The 1st floor entrance (not the lobby), is uninviting and needs renovation but the actual lobby on the 2nd floor was fine (clean, modern and updated). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Checkin / checkout was smooth. The Double Room (non-smoking) was clean, smoke free, spacious (for Tokyo), comfortable (including the bed) nicely appointent and quiet. The hotel location is fantastic (right in Ginza, one of the best parts of Tokyo) and close to Shimbashi Station. Given all this, the price is also great value. I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

Entrance on first floor (not the second floor lobby) needs a renovation.

I loved several things. The hotel has a great location! Just metres away from Shinbashi station, and a few blocks away from the main stores in Ginza. The ground floor of the hotel has a money converter machine and an entrance to the Family Mart convenience store, who has everything you might need on your journey. The room has a kettle, refrigerator, drip coffee sachets, a mobile multi-adapter charger and amenities like slippers, foam soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Also there is a hair dryer, toothbrushes, shaving gel and razors if you forgot yours. The room has a temperature regulator, so if you feel cold or hot, you can be comfortably inside. The hotel lobby also has several maps in english and japanese and, complementary tea bags, sugar sticks, creamers, and so on.

Good location. Cheap. Comfortable. I liked everything very much.

Hard beds, needed another pillow, room not cleaned because ‘there were things on the floor’ but to be honest with two travellers there was no other option because if things were left on the bed, the beds weren’t changed.breakfast was poor quality and not good value for money

You're really close to the station and so you can get almost anywhere! It's just a 5-minute walk away. Their staff also speak good English so for any requests, there is always someone ready to assist you.

This isn't the hotel's fault but because the location is near a station, this general area has many izakayas and various people milling about in the sidewalk at night. As female foreigners, we couldn't help but feel a little unsafe walking at night but it wasn't too concerning as this is Japan. Just worth noting for those concerned about this.

A warm smile welcome at the reception. The location at de Central town of Ginza with easy access to most areas of interest (for shopping and exploring), facilities and room very neat, 24hrs shop and service in de Hotel building. Eucalyptus spray & aroma in de room was very soothing and relaxing for my sinuses. Wow, the dry cleaning service of a first class treatment, I liked the packaging of clothes after cleaning. Security I have concluded that Tokyo or rather Ginza Grand Hotel is a safe place to be around to enjoy a holiday. I would definitely recommend another stay here!!

A room with no closets for keeping the clothes.

The location was awesome! The breakfast was great, we also loved having a laundry service at the hotel. As a mom on vacation, that was one of my favorite parts. It wasn’t complimentary, but it was affordable and they did a better job then me lol

Excellent location only 4 mins walk to Shimbashi station. 24 hours refreshments as in coffees, juices, etc. Lots of personalities freebies at the front desk. Helpful staff. And buffet breakfast was amazing

Bathroom facilities need some improvements

Location is good, at Ginza area and very close to train station. The staffs were helpful. They provide with amenites for your room. There is grocery store in the ground floor that is very convenience.

The bed and pillow are a bit too firm for me.

Room was a good location, easy access to the train and busses.

Bathroom had quite a bad smell in it. Overall the room is small, we couldn’t open our suitcases anywhere except the bed, but from what I’ve read this is pretty standard in Tokyo!
