APA Hotel Higashi-Shinjuku-Ekimae

The location was great! super close to a lot of lines. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The facilities were all good and although it was a small room, it was enough for one person.

the hot water stopped working for the morning/afternoon during the day. I didn’t get any notice or explanation due to lack of English from the staff but they did try their best!

Location is very convient to the Shinjuku and Shibuya areas. These are the main nightlife areas for foreigners, locals, young people and the gay community. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The room is quite small which is why the price is competitive. The restaurant looked very good though I did not eat there myself. Staff spoke sufficient English

The laundry facility is only one washer and one dryer, this wasn't a problem for me as I was not there during a very busy period and was jetlagged and up late at night but I see how it could be annoying at busier times.

The location is excellent. You can connect with several lines of Tokyo metro. It's really convenient. Only 1 station to center of Shinjuku or you also can reach Shinjuku by walking only 10 minutes. Only 3 minutes from Higashi-Shinjuku station. The Staff's also really helpful and kind! They helped me solve the problems and also helped to call a taxi when i'm back the airport. Appreciated for that!

The space of room is quite small than I thought. If you come with family , it's quite small but still acceptable. The bed is too soft , the older may not like this. And there is some dust on the wall of room but not that problems.

Great location and good value for money. Friendly staff. Laundry has only 1 washing machine and 1 drier, however we did not have any issues as we did our washing at 6 AM but later in the afternoon it would likely be an issue. Local Lawson sells laundry powder in easy to carry sachets. There are many restaurants and several convenient stores at walking distance. We stayed at the 1 double bedroom and our kids in the double room (2 single beds). Both rooms were good, however the double was much bigger and had area to hang clothes, which the 1 bed did not. Next time I would book 2 doubles for more space and comfort. Bed was comfortable and TV had free movies in English which it was a plus.

Everything was actually great. Hotel in the center. Around the hotel many shops, restaurants. Very close to the train station. Staff in the hotel very nice, kind and helpful.

Breakfasts. I've been there during a winter and in the restaurant was no heater. Was sooo cold, I guess the same temperature like outside. For breakfast I had bread and butter and rice, really. Staff in the restaurant was very nice and kind but just no food to be honest. Was so cold that I decided to not even eat bread with butter but just to go to the normal coffee shop and have a normal breakfast there and have a coffee.

Location was in the heart of the city, close to the subway and bus lines and I never had a problem reaching any part of Tokyo. The room was small but efficient, containing everything I needed.

The breakfast could use a little bit more diversity, as every day the exact same menu was offered.

Booked a double sized room good for 2 and as expected from the room size description and reviews its small and fits well for 2 people only. No enough space to open your luggage. The neighborhood is quiet with nearby konbinis (lawson and 7/11). The hotel is near to 3 subway exits (with 1 exit that has an elevator access.)

The pillow was AWFUL! So tiny and flat! made it really hard to sleep, I had to put bath towels underneath it to make it usable because I cannot sleep flat. one pillow is not enough and that kind of pillow is useless. If you’re a guest, bring a cushion with you for sure and to the hotel: GET BETTER PILLOWS AND PROVIDE MORE THAN ONE! Unfortunately it counteracted the good things too strongly so I wouldn’t stay again unless they get better pillows. What’s the point in a hotel you struggle to get to sleep in because you can’t rest your head properly?

Clean, Affordable, Very Polite Front Desk very close to Higashi-Shinjuku Metro Station which make getting to Shinjuku Train Station very easy. 4 Convenience Stores with 1 minute of the front door.

Only 1 lift but that’s a minor concern

The service was excellent. The staff was very accommodating to our requests. The rooms were very clean and we were provided with all the amenities needed. The location was excellent with easy access to the Higashi-Shinjiku station.

The size of the rooms were small, but this wasn't such as inconvenient for us since we were most of the time out exploring the city.
