Marina Place Resort

This hotel had the most spacious rooms of any we have visited in Italy. The drive to the hotel doesn't look promising as you go through an industrial shipyard area, but once at the marina, the hotel location was just what we wanted. I always rent a hotel the last night of a vacation that is close to the airport for the convenience of departure back to home. The breakfast was great; there were 3 great restaurants to suit lunch and dinner and different price points. The decor is very modern and made good use of its being right on the marina with views of luxury boats. Staff was great, and there is an expanse of included parking.

There are a few worn areas that could use attention for example, the wood veneer at windows was chipped and peeling, one of the shades was frayed and had a broken chain so couldn't be used, and while there is a thoughtful amenity of coffee and tea maker, there were no cups. Small items that are easily rectified.

Helpful staff, kind and helpful receptionist. Great tea selection in the common area. Free parking, with many places, and very close to the hotel. Hair conditioner and complete vanity kit (e.g. makeup remover) in the bathroom. Great bed. Train to the city center runs often and not undemanding.

But it is quite far, the bus which runs between the hotel and the train station runs only until 19:45. Ticket necessary – but the receptionist does not mention it, neither where you can buy it; somewhere nearby (to the hotel and the bus stop). Breakfast only until 9:30. Breakfast staff is not kind, and they refill the fruit juice slowly. Sliced fruit completely runs out. Smoking is allowed at breakfast. The blackout curtain in the room does not close completely. Slow wifi. No hall door, so no door between the bed and the corridor door – still many hotels forget it, while it has strong impact on noise isolation!

The hotel is modern and stylish, and the staff are all helpful, particularly Cristina. It is located by the airport and in the Giorgio Marina, so if you came by train, you go through a large industrial area to get to the Marina. The entire boardwalk is lined with restaurants and yacht sales businesses. The room was huge, with a king bed (mattress was too firm) refrigerator, Nespresso machine, hot water kettle, nice selection of teas, a desk and couch large enough for a short person or child to sleep on. Big closet area. Big bathroom, including a Turkish bath, rainfall shower head, and a handheld wand. Breakfast was amazing, with cereals, eggs, bacon, a selection of pastries, and yogurt.

The mattress was overly firm, almost no give. The Turkish bath had mold/mildew in the ceiling. There was also a smell of sewer gas in the bathroom and sometimes along the boardwalk. There were room freshener diffusers throughout the hotel public areas and in the room, but they didn't cover the smell. Fortunately, the smell stayed in the bathroom.

Very close to the motorway. We used it for the second time as a B&B hotel, and it was perfect for this both times. Free of charge parking, very close to the hotel. Smooth late night check-in. Kind and communicative staff. Great room and great bathroom, and there is room to pack in both. I am extremely sensitive for noises at night, and I have heard only 2 airplanes at morning. Nothing from the other rooms or from the street. The best part for us the breakfast (good selection, as is typical in Italy) in the very calm and cozy port. With attentive service, polite and quick staff. No crowd in the hotel - in the middle of the touristic high season.

It is very-very rare that I could not say anything. Naturally it is not walking distance from the city center

Positioned right on the Marina as pictured, reception staff were absolutely excellent- went out of their way to help, great English and super friendly. parking lot is ample and free when validated. Balcony room is lovely, good size, nice view.

Breakfast isn’t great, wouldn’t eat there again. fruit flies covering jam croissants, stale tasting focaccia, very little variety. Balcony wasn’t cleaned and fruit fly in bedroom. 20min drive to city centre, no easy way to get around the city. equivalent or higher priced than some 5 star hotels closer to city centre.

Wow, the balcony and view. Definitely pay extra for the room with a balcony and sea view, it's worth every penny. Gorgeous room, amazing bathroom and shower. But the balcony was something else. If you can, book room 10 because the balcony was HUGE, about the same size as the room. When driving to the hotel, it looks like an awful building site, but persevere, because the hotel is amazing. Lovely breakfast. Also we ate at Rossopodomoro, 10 metres from the hotel, great pizzas, great tables outside looking at the sea and reasonable prices.

Gorgeous hotel, right on the Genova marina. Very close to airport but very quiet in the rooms. Comfy beds and gorgeous remodeled bathroom with lots of amenities. Best part was eating breakfast outside in the shade, looking at the marina and the town of Genova. Staff was very helpful and called us a taxi to the airport on our departure. Will definitely stay here again!

the only problem was the location if you are going to stay for more than a few nights. There are a few restaurants around, but you need to get a taxi for other options

Lovely room with Turkish bath overlooking the port filled with luxurious yachts and boats. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast buffet was extremely good.

The hotel appears to be doing its best to attract customers back. The restaurant is only open for breakfast but it would be nice to be able to sit outside comfortably during the day with a drink. it’s just a minor thing as there are red to lose by.

We were only here for a night to catch an early flight. Proximity to the airport is fantastic. Literally around the corner.

We were off season, so there were only 2 dining options that weren't that great. Not the fault of the hotel, but worth noting.
