Fairways Hotel Dundalk

Rooms were spacious, smelled really nice, airy and clean. Bed was really comfortable. Nespresso coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. Bar staff in the evening were great especially Oran and Craig. Breakfast the following morning was self serve but really tasty.

I paid prior to arrival even though the hotel takes payment on arrival. This caused a bit of confusion and delayed our check in. This was not the hotel's fault but booking.com. Just something to be aware of when checking in if you've paid prior to arrival. Ensure that you have the email from booking.com confirming payment. The music in the bar was....not very good to put it politely. However it did not stop us from having a good night. Would have been better without it though

Good location - close to the nice village of Blackrock and theres a huge Supervalu next door. Staff were friendly. Nice areas outside to sit and have a drink. Didn't actually sample any food from the hotel when we were there to comment.

When checking-in our key cards wouldn't work, so i went back down to reception to try and sort. I went back up to the room, opened the door and there was someone already in our room! They had given us the wrong room. Had to go back to reception to sort and skip the queue of people waiting to check-in. Wasnt a massive deal just a bit annoying. The staff member sorted it quickly and was friendly so all was good

I booked the room for my daughter's 30th birthday with her friend. They loved the food and new menu, also that there is always something for gluten free customers. Great value for money 2 course for 25 euro. They tried a cocktail and it was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and a great choice.

I left balloons with 30 on them at reception on the morning of check in to be put on the table in the evening. She saw the balloons when she checked in, so maybe next time hide them away. Also they never got to the table and her friend text me to tell me. I had to phone in and ask them to be taken down to the table half way during the meal. The girls said no air con in the bedroom and no fan in the bathroom if you had a shower. Also slight odour in the bathroom. Breakfast was served up to 9:45, they went down at 9:30 and said that all breakfast was being cleared away at 10, maybe should be cleared at 10:30

lovely and fresh and modern , rooms done up beautifully:-) great shower size / bathroom and beautiful shower products :-) breakfast hall and bar area done up gorgeously and everywhere was so nice a clean even outside garden bar area , toilets etc breakfast was first class cooked and continental, staff cleared tables away promptly , they were friendly and helpful :-) loved the fact checkout was 12 and not 10:30/11 am gave us more time to get ready and packed up at a leisurely pace rather than rushing :-) definitely return again !

Loved the atmosphere the minute we walked into the hotel. Staff everywhere were so nice and friendly. Plenty of parking spaces. Got a taxi to Blackrock port only about 4 mns... lovely area with a good few pubs that served food. Breakfast was plenty full and lovely. Manager and staff for breakfast were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Had a late drunk in residence lounge where the 2 lads working there were also so professional and friendly to us. Room very comfortable..towels nice and fluffy. Great size walk in shower as I have some hip issues so ideal for me... and a hand rail. Great having your own iron and board instead of always having to ring reception for one.

Very hard to get a taxi home... and a small complaint of shower gel hard to manage while in shower as it's fixed in a holder and just a bit awkward.... but not a deal breaker.

Very spacious and comfortable room, with an excellent shower. The HDMI port on the TV was very difficult to access, but with perseverance and a bit of swearing, I did manage to get my Fire TV stick connected, which was useful as the weather wasn't great during this visit. Breakfast was buffet style and excellent. I had dinner in the restaurant on one evening, and though it was a bit overpriced, the food was delicious and the portions fairly reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, especially for long weekends or short breaks.

Even though the wifi signal was good, web pages would not load most of the time, which surprised me as it has always been okay on previous visits. Had to go to the nearby coffee shop to check my emails. Also, the safe in my room didn't lock, but it was not something I really needed to use on this visit.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfast selection was very good. And I loved that they offered food vouchers if you didn't get your room cleaned or towels changed. Great motivation to be more sustainably conscious.

Food was too expensive. And the main meal didn't inclde veg so the chefs special cost 25 euro. While the food was lovely, it did not warrant this high price. Also disappointed that an extra charge was applied for the swimming pool.

Ok this isn’t a fault with the hotel however we had very noisy people in the next room from before 11pm till 5am. We went for a relaxing night away from home and our busy lifestyles working for the NHS as a nurse but unfortunately my husband slept on and off all night but I didn’t sleep at all and left for him more exhausted than we arrived. I just think as we were on ground floor not far from reception that maybe the night porter may have been doing rounds of hotel and could have asked these noisy residents to quieten down.

I know smoking is a big issue but as a smoker I was told 3 different things ....one told me the outside space with pods that I could smoke anywhere A second put me out of the pod which did have an ashtray so I thought it was ok and made me sit away off to the side and a third told me I could smoke anywhere but not under the awning so I was confused as I witnessed people smoking everywhere and staff didn't move them so by the end of my stay I just went to my car to have a cigarette in Peace. Staff would need to be on the same page ,as my husband and I are now retired we go away most weekends and being able to have a wee smoke is part of my choosing an hotel

The hotel is located near to the street into the city. Parking is free. There is a food store and Costa cafe nearby. The check in was friendly and easy. We had a 3 bed room which was sized sufficiently and being modern equipped. Everything was well cleaned. Unfortunately we skipped the breakfast so we can't judge.

Nothing really to complain. The only one - the fan in the bathroom is a little bit undersized which leads to a very foggy room when showering.
