Kilmorey Arms Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kilmorey Hotel and overall, I had a delightful experience. The cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional, and the staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. The highlight of my stay was definitely the delicious evening meals. The hotel's restaurant served some truly delectable dishes that were full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I was thoroughly impressed and looked forward to dinner each night. Although the Kilmorey Hotel offers a standard breakfast, I found it to be satisfying and sufficient to start my day. The breakfast options were decent, but nothing particularly extraordinary. It provided the necessary fuel for the day ahead, but it didn't exceed my expectations in terms of variety or quality. One aspect that you should be aware of is that the rooms at the Kilmorey Hotel are not very modern. They have more of an old-fashioned aesthetic, which may not appeal to those who prefer contemporary accommodations. However, despite their outdated appearance, the rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable, offering a pleasant space to unwind after a long day. Overall, while the Kilmorey Hotel may not offer the most modern rooms, it certainly makes up for it with excellent cleanliness, a friendly and attentive staff, delicious evening meals, and a decent breakfast. If you are looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay, I would recommend considering the Kilmorey Hotel.

From the moment we stepped inside the hotel and met the friendly staff......found our bedroom......couldn't fault anything!!! The breakfast in the morning was really lovely......my hubby had the healthy grill option. Hubby's 60th birthday...staff went over the top ...when arrived had drinks and traybakes and in the room the hotel had left a card and box of chocs.really appreciated the extras.thank you everyone at the kilmorey arms....we really enjoyed our time .

was met by two great guys when we arrived lat on friday night , absolutely brillant . saturday for breakfast the same , waiter or waitress , she was brillant , couldnt do enough . went for meal in restaurant sat night , waitress that took our order was great , food was delicous . overall had a great weekend and just a pity about the negative below .

breakfast was very nice on the saturday morning and the waitress was brillant , she was very nice and making sure we had everything we wanted , unfortunately , not so good on the sunday , my breakfast was lukewarm , i ordered the same because it was so nice on saturday .not sure why this happened , maybe because it was busier and one other negative , it was my partners birthday on saturday and had asked the waiter to have a candle put in her desert ,and in fairness she came back and said it was organised with chefs , so cant blame her as it wasnt her that brought it to our table, but nevertheless it never happened . was going to say when checking out , but when i was never asked , how was your stay , i didnt bother . enough of the negative , lovely place .

The location is very central and in a good position for touring around. The hotel and staff were very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would like to visit again at a later date

Very little to dislike accept perhaps they could make food portion sizes smaller for older guests We found we were unable to finish our which was a pity as the food was excellent

Very clean, excellent food & the staff are fantastic. Short walk to the beach & town. Plenty of on street parking (free).

We were given a room with an adjoining door and you could hear everything in the other room - even the full conversation. The bed was a standard double and the wash hand basin in the bathroom was tiny. Unfortunately our neighbours argued through the night. We requested a move to a new room for our 2nd night and were given a bigger room with a king sized bed & better bathroom. Staff were very accommodating.

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a very polite receptionist. We were not required to show our COVID passes but were required to check/ fill in a couple of forms. Room was very nice, bed was comfortable Huge bathroom. Staff are wonderful; polite, helpful and always smiling. Bar: The barman was polite and chatty. Whilst explaining where we could drive he was gestured by a colleague but instead of just walking off he politely listened to us and only left when I pointed out to my friend that someone wanted him and we should let him go; if we hadn’t released him I suspect he would have been polite and just listen to us and make his colleagues wait. Parking in the street is free. Food was great

No bar of soap in the bathroom and only one tube of shampoo/ wash/ conditioner not enough for two persons. Only 3 sachets of coffee of which 2 were decaf. I know we could have called down but as it was only one night we didn’t bother and we always carry our own.

I booked the hotel only a day before our stay and the staff was amazing, we checked in late, after dinner time and the kitchen staff was just lovely, they made us some pizzas anyway and we went to the bar for drinks, they had a live band which just added to the amazing atmosphere and had a great time!

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. The hotel bar was homely and the food was excellent. Plenty of parking. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

The service, the team, the room, the food and the price. I'll definitely stay again and would recommend it highly.

Everything far exceeded my expectations so there was nothing to dislike about this hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly. Rachel who served us breakfast was fantastic with helpful knowledge and advice on hiking routes. The location was great, close to the Mournes and the sea. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable.

The internet in our room was poor.
