Location : i. Excellent. Hotel is strategically located between Munich HBF and Karlsplatz. Many tram options around Karlsplatz. ii. Travellers should be a little careful at night. Although nothing happened to me on my stay there (single female visitor), I took precaution to be aware of my surroundings if I was along the streets to the stations in the early mornings/late nights. iii. Easy access to shopping and eateries. Very walkable to Marienplatz. Room : i. Compact (I'm petite and dont require much space. Info provided for reference), efficient and clean. ii. Not much wardrobe space - this is acceptable for me as i was travelling solo and don't unpack. iii. Pros : Free Wifi. iv. Pros : There was a sign stating that guests could claim 1 free beer/bottled water in exchange for no housekeeping (per day). I did not test this and perhaps someone else can verify. v. Pros : Good housekeeping. Clean room daily. Shower / Toilet : i. Shower and toilet are separate. Some may find the compactness of these areas a bit challenging however the space was acceptable for me (refer photos) ii. Towels, Shampoo/handwash provided. No toothbrush/toothpaste. iii. Water pressure : Excellent. iv. Mini hairdryer provided. Sufficient for people with short hair. Challenging for people with long hair.

Room : i. Cons : No kettle/mugs/tea/coffee provided. However I did not ask at concierge either. ii. Cons : No mini fridge. iii. Cons : No tissues, however I suppose one could use the additional toilet roll. iv. Cons : No AC/fan provided. I was at the hotel in summer and even with the windows open it wasn't too cool. I did not ask concierge for a fan however as the temperature was tolerable (for me). v. Cons : No phone in room. Requests must be done in person. vi. Comments : My room faced a courtyard which a bierhaus operated in. It was not noisy for me however this would depend on each individuals tolerance of noise. As I was there in summer I needed to keep the window open.

Room was nice size, although no view - just of rooftop of adjoining restaurant. Room and bedding were very comfortable and the TV had BBC News channel which was good. Location was perfect and was next door to a good restaurant/bar which was useful as it rained a lot for a few days. Staff were also friendly, helpful and left our luggage safetly locked away in a room for hours.

My biggest disappointment was the fact that no fridge was available and neither was there a water fountain to use. Had a look at the breakfast but decided against it as there didn't appear to be any hot food on offer - no 'English' type breakfast, just continental.

The location was right in the center of downtown Munich, right where we needed to be! The breakfast bar was quite good, especially the coffee! Our room was nicely sized but could have used one more chair. We also enjoyed the beer tickets left on our door for not using housekeeping. Bonus points to you for the toilet paper, it's the best I've ever used, US hotels not withstanding.

The mattresses and especially the pillows were too soft for me. I'm not sure if the mattresses were just too soft or in need of replacement. I am a side sleeper and would really have preferred a much firmer pillow.

The location was amazing. Easily got the train from the airport and the station is a few moments walk to the door. Just around the corner was the hop on hop off bus that we used for two days because we wanted to visit the palace, English Garden and BMW. We were just a few mins walk to Marienplatz with all the Christmas Markets, beautiful buildings, shops and many many restaurants and cafés. Staff are very friendly and helpful and there is always someone there 24 hrs a day. They held our bags for us when we arrived before check in and again at check out. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We were travelling as 3 adults and we had so much room, the room was one of the biggest we've stayed in. We'd just done London and the room was three times the size. Beds are very comfy and we could watch our netflix on TV. The room was so warm even with the snow, we turned off the heat at night and it was still very comfortable and cosy. I've been to Munich a few times and this hotel is number 1 for me now. Worth every cent.

It's next to a noisy road with a tram and while so lovely and quiet and no trouble sleeping when the windows are closed, it's too noisy to keep the window open so I'm not sure I'd appreciate that in summer with no air con. But, for the price and location I'd wear ear plugs :-)

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room and facility were nice and clean and appeared to have had a recent re-model. Although the bathroom for our unit was small, it seems that European bathrooms/showers are smaller than American ones. The room and bed were comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent and in very close proximity of the Munich HBF main train station, Metro trams, and the shopping and parks of the city. Although there is alot of action on the street below, the noise did not bother us as the room is insulated well.

The hotel is situated closely to the old part of Munich and you can pretty much reach most of the monuments by walking there. My husband and I slept in a comfort double room on the 6th floor. It was always tended to and got regularly cleaned, towels were also changed each day of our stay. Even though it was nearby a tram and metro station, the room were actually quiet and I could sleep well. A lot of storing space! I rarely see this and I really like that the room had a lot of shelves. Staff was very helpful and considerate.

The elevator was a bit noisy, it could be heard throughout the night. There was no fridge in the room. Same for drinking glasses. This is maybe due to some lingering pandemic measures, but it could be a bit inconvenient if you plan on staying longer than 2-3 days. The door to our room was a bit too heavy to open.

Location: excellent, near the station, centre, transport and yet quiet rooms at the rearside. Staff: Helpful and friendly, no problem storing my luggage securely before check-in time. Rooms: minimalistic, but modern, comfortable and very clean, large bed, plenty of wall sockets, large screen TV. Breakfast: maybe not large but sufficient choice, again all very clean.

Rooms: For German standards my single room was a little bit more compact than expected. Meaning just space for a wall mounted mini table and a stool instead of a desk and chair. Rent a larger room if you intend to work at a desk with a laptop. Yet, the room is still spacious enough to walk around the large size bed from all sides.

The staff checked us in early when we arrived prior to the designated check-in time. We were very thankful for that. They also provide a free beer/ per day if you don’t require room service, great initiative for the environment. Location is amazing- 5 min walk from the Old Town. Great bar/restaurant just next door. 24/7 Receptions which was always welcoming and chatty. We had a really positive stay.

Red flashing in the bathroom with no door to close which was quite annoying at night.

Good morning, 3 friends and I stayed here from 15 till 18 September 2023. Nearly every detail of Stachus gets an "A reward". The location is perfect if you visit Munich for the Oktoberfest. A very positive thing is that everything is brand new which you can well see in the sanitary installations.

The only thing less recommendable is the space of the rooms. I stayed with one friend in room 314. You have to put your luggager well away in order to prevent falling over it. There is no wardrobe.

The location was fantastic! Near to the train station, the city centre, many landmarks and around the corner from the meeting place for our bus tours. Made it viable to walk wherever we wanted. The room was spacious and clean, and we loved the option of a free beer/water if we left the do not disturb sign up on our door. Staff always greeted us coming in and out of reception.

The pillows were a bit too soft. There was also no safety deposit box.
