A very clean and comfortable room, with a great location. Being so close to the airport it is exceptionally quiet. They offer fantastic continental breakfast with plenty to choose from. The decor is slightly old fashioned, but given the exceptional value for money, you could consider it charming. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance. We found a great Italian. If you're driving and are not 100% familiar with the rules, here's a tip: roads around the hotel are with a priority right over left. Drive safe.

The room was very nice, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was great. Very easy bus to Flugenhafen Terminal 1 (Route 67) in the morning was great, but taxi at night was expensive (40 Euros).

Communication could have been better. I needed to check in after 10 pm because my flight was delayed, and I tried to contact the property through booking.com messages, but was not successful in reaching anyone. I did not hear from the property until the day I was supposed to arrive that checking in after 10 pm needed to be arranged ahead of time. The hotel is in a nice quiet town, and had the owner not been waiting for me, it would have been a big problem. If you are late, be sure to phone - I think that would work better than trying to message through booking.com.

This hotel is very quaint, cozy, and clean and all you need for an overnight stay close to Frankfurt Airport. My single room was clean and bigger than I expected, including the bed. The owner's son was extremely friendly and helpful. He advised me of some good restaurants in the area and I settled on an excellent German one, S'Wirtshaus, about 10 minutes walk away, along two pleasant, mainly residential streets. The quaint bar in the hotel offers good beer and schnapps, as well as interesting Kukki cocktails. Although the bar normally closes at 10pm, the owner's son kept it open much longer to the delight of the guests enjoying a quiet drink and chat. The breakfast choice was plentiful and enjoyable. To get there, it was a fairly easy walk from Walldorf(Hess) train station, even with my two suitcases and there were no stairs to negotiate and the street to the hotel had hardly any traffic on it. From the same location the next morning it was also easy to get the local bus to Frankfurt Airport, although I did then have to catch the shuttle bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2. I definitely look forward to coming back here again, hopefully next time with my wife.

There was nothing I could fault about this hotel. Unfortunately, my connecting train from Frankfurt Railway Station was extremely crowded when I arrived during peak hour. And the five minute walk from the Walldorf(Hess) train station with my two suitcases might have been more difficult had it been raining at the time.

I needed a place to stay on short notice at a good price and near to the airport. It wasn't as close to the airport as I thought but it worked well and was easy to reach the train from there. I was tired when I arrived but everything was very easy so I was able to relax straight away. Highly reccommend the near by pizza place.

When I went to check out there was no one at the desk, I wasn't in a huge rush but it was a bit worrying because I knew I had to catch the train. Someone came after about 10mins and check out was easy.

Staff was very friendly attentive and helpful. Nice bar in lobby. Good breakfast and coffee. Room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Great linens. Medium size shower. CNN international on TV. Lots of channels. Ate at a fabulous restaurant 15 min walk from hotel. German restaurant called Wursthouse i think. Really great food and big selection. They arranged a taxi for us. 20 min to airport. About 30 euros. Beautiful pool.

This was a clean hotel with many good points but I do not agree with a 4 star rating. It's a solid 3. Older furniture in rooms. Older shower apparatus.

Wonderfully friendly staff, clean tidy room and amazing spread for breakfast. We wished we’d stayed longer before taking the taxi to the airport as the breakfast needed to be enjoyed.

The taxi cost as much back to the airport as coming from it (so 35-40€ each way) which seemed a lot given the village is really just around the other side of the terminal. There is a train station however right in the middle of the village and within walking distance to the hotel, so next time that might be the cheaper option.

Very clean, comfortable & pleasant, homey family-owned hotel. Enjoyable indoor pool to cool off in with ''funky'' lighting. Wonderful & generous breakfast buffet. Good Wifi in rooms. Small bar & outer courtyard for chilling out in. Lovely & helpful staff. Set in a charming little town with all you need to feel comfortable. Easy access to Frankfurt Airport by taxi (approx. 20-minute drive) and S-Bahn line nearby. Highly recommended.

Consider getting a room that doesn't look out onto the main (bar) courtyard, to avoid having cigarette fumes waft up to your room window. No air conditioning in rooms, but fans are available from the reception desk upon request.

I had a very early flight and booked this hotel because of its good public transport connections to Frankfurt airport, the journey takes between 20-30 mins. I liked the fact that it is a privately owned hotel, reasonably priced, but very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and spacious for a single room, it was tastefully furnished and well maintained - everything worked perfectly. Because of my late arrival and early departure I didn't get to meet any of the staff in person, however the people I spoke to on the phone couldn't have been more helpful. There is a short walk to the train station with a choice of S-Bahn connections to the Airport (S7, then S8 or S9), or a direct bus. Given the current works on the rail network it is useful to have a choice, and in hindsight I wish I'd opted for the bus for my early journey to the airport. I am definitely planing to go back, but would allow more time to spend in the hotel and surroundings; the city of Mörfelden-Walldorf seems to have a rich history worth exploring.

What a great hotel! Lots of space in the room, lots of lighting and outlets. Bed was comfortable, lots of counter space in the bathroom. They had a great assortment of food for their breakfast. It was in a quaint little neighborhood but easy to get to Frankfurt and the airport. The staff was so friendly.

Zum Lowen is a lovely hotel close enough to Frankfurt International airport to be convenient but far enough away that you are able, in our case, to enjoy your last night in Germany in a charming town completely absent the usual airport hotel vibe. The hotel was very attractive, very clean and comfortable and staffed with extremely helpful individuals.
