The house is amazing, with lots of history. While in the countryside it's very convenient for St Malo and the ferry. The rooms and bathrooms were were clean and comfortable, and there were lovely gardens to relax in. The hosts were very helpful providing tea on arrival, and booking restaurants for us, and the breakfasts were very nice, with fresh fruit and breads.

The breakfasts are communal with guests around one table, and as I'm not at my most communicative first thing in the morning I would have preferred individual tables!

The bed was excellent, and the room was enormous,wi-fi worked well, and we had a fine night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent, with multiple options, cooked, cereals, and fruit, all beautifully presented. Conversation with the hosts and other guests at breakfast made for an entertaining time, meaning we were loathe to leave, but we had a ferry to catch!

It could not have gone better, from the hosts' greeting,to having a chat to Lily the Airedale, everything went fine.

We enjoyed everything about this period property. The owners, Agnes and Claude, were extremely welcoming, inviting us to have tea in their lovely garden as we arrived. They gave us recommendations for restaurants closeby. Breakfast was superb and as the house is just a 10 minute drive to the ferry terminal in St Malo we didn’t have to worry about any potential traffic delays

There was nothing we did not like about the property and hosts.

The welcome from Agnes and Claude was perfect. The tea and cake with them and our chat in the garden when we arrived, made us feel very comfortable and accepted. The house was very beautiful and interesting in that it was extremely old and had history. I loved the stairs. Our room had, unusual in French B&Bs, provision for making tea and coffee, which we appreciated. The breakfast was great with eggs and bacon, croissants and bread, home made jam, lots of tea or coffee, fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. but what was so nice, was that our hosts sat with us and chatted as we ate, so that we felt more like friends who had come to stay, rather than paying guests. Parking was in front of the house, which was very easy. We were catching a ferry from St Malo and I felt it was a very convenient place to stay, being less than fifteen minutes away from the port.

We loved our stay altogether but found the property a bit hard to find and I struggled to input the address into our Sat Nav.

Very special 300 yrs old house in the countryside 10km from Saint Malo. Worth visiting just for that plus for the wonderful hosts: widely travelled, wildly read multilingual, multicultural easy going couple. Beautiful huge salon and dining room with fire burning in the giant fire place. Breakfasts at the dining table with the hosts and other guests was a very stimulating experience. Everything excellent quality.

Enjoyed everything

Loved this quirky and rustic B&B, in a grand old house and lovely rural setting. Only 13 mins from St Malo ferry terminal. The hosts were so welcoming, offering refreshments on our arrival, they booked an evening meal for us and even had breakfast with us. A much appreciated comfortable stay after camping for 2 weeks.

We loved it, but if you like modern, sanitised, standard accommodation, then this may not be for you, but we would recommend giving it a try.

I LOVED this B & B! I was in France for 5 days and this French country house was the highlight of my trip. It had all of the historic charm that I have always wanted. I even loved every little cobweb in the corner. The house is not within walking distance to any sights, but I knew this prior to booking and planned on driving my car everywhere I wanted to go. The owners of the home are a wonderful and welcoming couple. They have a huge yard for kids to run around and are pet friendly. They have a sweet dog of their own who loves to play fetch with her ball :) I stayed alone on this trip, but I will absolutely return with my family for future stays. There are so many amazing towns to see in this area that exude medieval charm! And the beaches of the Saint Malo area are beautiful! I cannot wait to return and I will stay here again. I had breakfast each morning and the products were fresh and delicious.

I didn't like that I had to leave.

Waste ancient house that reminds when old times rich families in the countryside where living here. Wonderful ambiance and calmness, Claude and Agnes are perfect hosts habit to make you at home (even if their home is quite different from yours). The large table for common breakfast among all customers: you chat in all European languages while having coffee in delicate limoges cups. It is a bit like being at the table on the ship of Manoel de Oliveira in the movie "Um filme falado". There is a garage for bikes Agnes is always caring and anticipating your needs (for us was a laundry service). Claude was willing to reserve a restaurant for us and his choices made difference.

Not ideal for cyclo tourist, the nearest restaurant is 4,4 km (but it's delicious) Small washbasin in our room (others are much better)

An amazing château perfectly located in between St. Malo and Mt. St. Michel. Owned by the very nice family. The hospitality was overwhelming. Breakfasts at the big table next to the fireplace were amazing! We'd like to recommend this place to everyone!!! Also it was a great time for our beagle, travelling with us to play with the owner's erdelterier.

Absolutely charming host and hostess who happily share this, their home, with strangers in a most welcoming and relaxed way, dividing the chores equally - so lovely. Thank you for the welcome of tea. The took time to explain the history of the property and for looking after the car so well - delightful to compare! Thank you also for finding us somewhere for dinner!

Nothing - it was perfect.
