Such a charming hotel and an excellent seafood restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and the food is wonderful. The location right on the quay is perfect.

You have to be careful about when to arrive during the July and August periods if you want to secure a nearby parking space. We came at the end of the afternoon when the day visitors were leaving and before the evening diners arrived and were able to get a place in the car park next to the hotel. By 7pm people were queuing to get in tot he car park, waiting for slots to become available

Small seaside hotel right on the promenade close to the restaurants and activities. Breakfast was an additional cost but good value for money. Good access by car and bike to surrounding beaches and historical sites.

It was very difficult to get parking close by however we were able to pull in briefly at the promenade to drop bags. As we had a roof box we couldn’t park at any of the seafront car parks due to the barriers and all were extremely busy also. We parked about 10 minutes walk away.

We had a very nice stay on our way back from Christmas with family The restaurant in the Hotel was superb with delicious menus and excellent choice of seafood The staff were pleasant and cheerful Had a good room with a beautiful view of the bay A good place for exploring the area we would definitely stay again

The hotel is a little tired and the price was more than I would want to pay but it was just before New year Parking was difficult as the town was very busy and we had to walk someway and my husband is disabled and it was difficult for him with luggage and you have to pay before 7 pm

Our room had double aspect windows over the port and sea. The location is stunning, and only 30 mins from the ferry port of St Malo. You have GOT to have une assiette des huitres from the oyster market stalls at the end of the seawall...only 5/6 euros per doz, that's shucked and lemon included. The large bed was comfortable. The grand plateau de fruits de mer was delicious. It was our wedding anniversary and with coffees we were given mini gâteau with candles to celebrate. Lovely waiting staff

Glass sliding door in the bathroom. Slow draining bathroom sink. Leaving at 7.30am for our ferry, we were stopped by the nightstaff to pay the E5 taxe séjour ( we spent over E500 over 2 nights there... Should have either been already included or written off as it made us feel like we were trying to avoid it by doing an early runner....bad taste left in our mouths)

The location of the hotel was excellent with a marvellous view of the sea and promenade from the dining room. We ate in the hotel that evening and the meal was superb - a real treat.

The bathroom was good. However there were chipped tiles on the shower floor and evidence of mould between the tiles which could be removed with mould cleaner as it did not look very nice. We were also aware of the continuing hum of the extractor/air conditioning unit.

We were lucky again to be in a room with a dual aspect view - one window looking out to sea and the other looking down the beachfront street. So incredibly beautiful - no wonder absolutely everybody was flocking there for whole days at a time. Nice restaurant with delicious food but the hotel is also surrounded by many eateries of various kinds and suited to purses of all sizes. And only a few steps from our room onto the beach!

Perhaps some thought could be given to installing small air conditioning units for the extremely hot months of the year. When the windows are open there is a lovely breeze to cool the room but when the windows are shut later in the evenings to block out the noise below, it does get a bit hot in there. But this is just a small point as we managed just fine in this heatwave!!

A wonderful hotel in the harbor of Cancale overlooking the dramatic ebbing and flooding of the tides ... a reminder of the circular nature of life. We had dinner at the hotel - oysters, of course, followed by a risotto with coquilles St. Jacques ... a great treat polished off with an excellent bottle of wine ! A highly recommended stop along the Brittany Coast.

Our room was small and dated BUT we had a great balcony - with an awning - right over the harbor. Watching the tides change is fascinating. Public parking available in the lot nearby. Hotel has a very good restaurant, and there are lots of other options with a short walk.

No air conditioning. If it's hot, the room gets very hot. The girl at the front desk was very unfriendly.

Location and view from our room were fantastic. The reception staff was formal and polite, which may or may not be your thing. The cleaning staff was friendly and accommodating.

One waiter seemed slightly impatient with our lack of familiarity with French seafood and how to order and eat it. On the other hand, his colleague came and went out of her way to explain everything and help us.
