Hôtel Ulysse Montpellier Centre

Hotel was in a quiet neighborhood but within easy walking distance to old Montpellier. We stayed 5 days and took several day trips by train to other towns in the area. The tram system was very close to the hotel, and we even had plenty of time to walk to the train station The optional breakfast buffet was always good and was a great way to start a day of walking and exploring. There was plenty of coffee, croissants, baguettes, fruit, hard boiled eggs, deli meat and cheese, yogurt, cereal and juice The concierge went above and beyond in helping us find a way to Pont du Garde without a car. All of the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The room was small, but clean and comfortable, with an attached bathroom with plenty of room.

We had the room right next to the reception area, and were able to hear every conversation that took place there. There was no air conditioning turned on yet, so we opened our windows at night. We could hear some of the foot traffic, cars, and people that walked by. Not a problem except late at night. There was also a group of travelers who stayed out on the patio across from the reception area till midnight, talking and laughing. They had ever right to do so of course, but again, we could here everything in our room even with the window closed. I’m not sure if any other rooms had a noise problem, or whether it was just ours.

Friendly and accommodating staff, room very clean and spacious. Generally good facilities.

No food available at the hotel other than breakfast. Could have done with at least a small restaurant with limited food. Also there was a a lovely terrace at the top of the hotel for relaxing but no bar so had to either buy a bottle from the reception, borrrow their bottle opener and then take your own paper cup and wine up to the terrace or sit up there without a drink. It wasn't the best arrangement. A bar for drinks would have been great. Breakfast was quite good but fairly expensive for what was offered so only had breakfast there on the first and last day.

the lady at the reception was exceptional. she helped us with the installation, the taxi, what we can visit, where we can eat well, she was practically like a guide for us! 10+ for her. at the very copious and varied breakfast we were served by an exceptional Russian lady (who says that all Russians love Putin?) who told us about her... we felt like family in this small and chic hotel "Ulysse Montpellier Centre". we recommend it to anyone wholeheartedly!

nothing special. I just needed 1 night stop for my long drive. But I wouldn't suggest it for a turist reason.

1. the price is way overhead 147€ for basically 3* hotel. It's not really mutch for the quality. 2. they have owned parking garage but they charge additional price ( 15€) per night. Wow!! Don't you think it's kind of a rude! it's the hotel parking spot not belong for some other private owners! It's must be part of the service.

The staff was super helpful. Location was great and quick, easy walk to Corum and tram lines as well as the old town. Hotel is outside of the old town area so we didn’t have to drive into old town which would have been difficult for us novice drivers in small European streets.

A little difficult to get to the North—we were driving from Northern France but much easier to get to from Eastern France.

The location is very near a tram stop so very convenient for everything. We had a room with a terrace which was lovely. Good shower, comfortable bed and fridge in room was a bonus also coffee machine.

Nothing. A Restaurant would be great.

Very quiet, close walking distance (10-20 min) to city center, staff made it easy for us to check in when we had an unexpected change in plans and could not arrive until 4 am. Great water pressure in the shower, hot water, and a wall heater is in the bathroom as well was nice to have. our basic needs were met and we were comfortable.

Beds were more firm than I’d prefer but that is more a personal preference. Shower is stand up small, but water pressure was great and water was hot.

all very good, just wifi was unstable in our room even though the signal was excellent. Did some telework in the hall downstairs, staff very helpful and supportive. Great location. 1 poste 11kW AC EV loading type2 in the garage, plus 3.7kW AC standard F household plug.

honestly, for a 3* hotel, you can't do much better. Certain corners of the hotel, i.e. the terraces and entry/alley, could do with a high-pressure cleaning to get a new shine, and some more flowers would be great. But that is secondary.

the hotel has done remodeling and they told me they are continuing with their renovations project. my rooms was recently remodeled , spacious and confortable

at first I was afraid it was too far from the center of town. it’s a about 10 minutes walk to a beautiful park and the area offers open aire cafes, restaurants, museums and the place de la comédie is another 5 minutes walk

Great Location. Close to tram stop, very easy to walk/ get tram into the town. Nice & quiet. Lovely friendly staff. Nice quiet terrace at top of Hotel.

Little bit of mould in bathroom on the ceiling. Unfortunately we got bitten by midges when we left window open as we were advised not to use air con too much.
