Hotel Campanile Montpellier Centre St Roch

A very modern, comfortable hotel, in a great location: near the main station but only 10-15 minutes walk from the centre, and easy access to trams and buses. Clean, bright room, good bathroom, good breakfast buffet, though also cafes nearby if you want to save money. Didn't use the facilities, but there is a spa and a restaurant on site.

It was very quiet inside the hotel, rooms seem to be well soundproofed, but there was some noise from the street, from people waiting at the taxi rank. The rugby was on, though, so may have been a one-off. Restaurant was closed the night I was there.

Situated opposite the central station which was very helpful, yet within 5 minutes of Place de Comedie. The location was quiet, we could share the roof terrace and spa with the adjoining hotel The terrace was a lovely place to relax and enjoy a drink in the evening. The room was a decent size and perfectly clean. The breakfast was more than adequate and the air-conditioning was very good in our room. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it

We had free cancellation until 2 days prior to our arrival, because of potential strikes we needed to improve the free cancellation date.It cost us almost €40 per night to do so, which I thought was excessive. Other than that we were very happy with the hotel

Rooms very clean and modern. Looked pretty new. Great shower (tiles, glass walk in shower, big for two and excellent water flow, quickly heating water). Excellent location (a few minutes walk from the Place de la Comédie and next to Saint Rock train station which contrary to train station neighbourhoods in many other cities is actually rather nice).

Breakfast was pretty basic. OK for vegetarians. For vegans prepare to forgo your cereals as there was no plant based milk available. When I needed a refund we had to wait for the manager to arrive as the employee didn’t manage.

Great location, very clean and stylish; bed was very comfortable; breakfast was much more elaborate than the croissant and coffee I was expecting; staff was welcoming and helpful.

In the bathroom there’s a knob by the sink to hang a hand towel but nowhere to hang any other towel. So you’re wet from the shower and the bath towels are a fair distance away, nicely folded behind the toilet. (And no, you can’t swap your bath towel for the hanging hand towel, it’s not reachable from the shower either and in any case would drag on the floor.) In addition, the shower floor is very slippery and there’s no grab bar. Other than that, though, everything was great.

- very close to city centre (Place de la Comedie - 7 min walk); - very close to rail way station (St Roch - 3 min walk); - nice cocktail bar in same building; - plenty of places to eat in the neighbourhood; - friendly & helpful staff; - good choice of food for breakfast for the price.

- music from the cocktail bar was too loud in the room until late night (23:00 - 24:00); - TV without Chromecast.

Everything was lovely and fresh with a good range of food. I noticed that fairly small amounts were set out and constantly replenished which is better than lots of food sitting out for a long time. Only negative point was the coffee etc from the self service machine was not great. These machines always seem to confuse people and must lead to a lot of waste. Location was great - just across the road from the Railway Station and a few minutes from two tram lines but also a short walk to the old town centre.

The location is great as it is right next to the train station. The breakfast is rich in variety but mostly sweets/bread and the same offerings every day. The spa/sauna is not included and it is expensive: 25 euros per person per hour. A bed is comfortable and the room was quiet facing the train station.

The check-out time is 11 am, and the check-in time is 16:00. That effectively eats 5 hours of a day and it is not fair. I skipped breakfast on day 5 of my stay because it was all the same. The hotel does not have a character and will be easily forgotten soon.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The bathroom was also really nice and the location was great.

The room didn’t have a fridge and it wasn’t stated anywhere when booking the hotel that we had to pay a guarantee therefore it came as a surprise.

A cozy room in a minimalist style without unnecessary amenities. Also a strategic location. Close to the train station, tram stops and the center.

Breakfast could be more varied. Good for one night but not enough for more. I also have reservation about the service. One day, many meals were absent such as scrambled eggs, croissants, etc.

Nice hotel to rest, very good location at the center of Montpellier. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, staff is exceptionally friendly and willing to help. Despite location it's very quiet, so nothing would bother one's sleep. Fancy-looking building from the outside :)

Water is not provided in the room, and also cannot be bought (at least when we checked there was only sparkled one). TV is kinda locked for casting - cannot stream from our devices - neither HDMI, nor via any screencasting means. Also there is no mini-fridge :)
