Hôtel Maison Pavlov

- Location was ideal; 10mins from centre of town and near a good tram service - Boutique feel of the hotel - a very well designed hotel and ecletic quality - Friendliness and help of staff - in particular the lady from Belorussia who was fantastic.

- The constant music - which for us, was too loud and inappropriate and changed the whole ambience of the Hotel. In particular, it affected our enjoyment of the living area and restaurant. The food was fantastic (particularly the Turbot) but we wanted to leave restaurant as soon as poss, to get away from the music. Suggest a rethink and use of Spotify to introduce more relaxing music aligned to the calm nature of the hotel.

Staff very welcoming and friendly especially as we arrived on a Saturday evening at 9pm when they were very busy in the restaurant. comfortable restaurant with great acoustics considering the space so easy to have a conversation and feel relaxed. Food was good but not outstanding for price. Had mackerel to start, nothing exciting a little too simple in flavour. We both had Steak for the main course which was average, but the vegetables and sauce were gorgeous. Great wine selection, staff knowledgable and friendly especially as we don't speak French! Left very early so didn't have breakfast. Beautiful Nux products in bathrooms and rest room!

It was very quiet, I know it was out of their control but we were the only guests for 2 of the nights which meant it was very quiet generally around the hotel and particularly for breakfast time! We were quite surprised at the high cost of breakfast, also there wasn’t much choice for eating in the hotel on the Sunday/Monday evenings as the restaurant was closed- not too problematic as so close to the tram and so much choice in town for places to eat. overall I think a stay later in the week would have a different feel and more atmosphere at meal times.

Perfect stay thanks to the attention to detail, knowledge and absolute dedication of their staff. The facilities are magnificent if you like boutique quirky hotels. The restaurant has a small but incredible menu that reminded me to Michelin star restaurants. The wine selection is also superb but if you have been buying wines in the Châteaus around the area and want to enjoy them there the corkage fee is very reasonable. There is a tram a few meters away to get to the centre and move around in Bordeaux without a car. The hotel has secure car park monitored by cctv but you need to book it in advance. I can't wait to go back.

The neighborhood is rather quiet unfortunately a minor point is that across the hotel there is a tire shop and when you are outside you can hear the air impact drill during business hours. Its not bad enough to ruin the experience but it's there in the background, not loud but audible

Everything! The bed was so comfortable & the hotel was peaceful yet easily & quickly linked to the town centre and the train station with a tram right outside. The view of the pool was perfect, and I enjoyed a swim most days, the staff were all professional, yet friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious.

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. Our flight was cancelled so we chose to stay here rather than going into Bordeaux city centre for the night. We were so pleased we did! Lovely, quiet and beautifully appointed. Good sized rooms and a delicious dinner. We stayed on a Monday night when the restaurant was closed but they offered us a grazing menu of cheeses, smoked trout and delicious small plates. Perfect.

The breakfast was fabulous and the location was wonderful. Walked down the street to catch public transport into town. Didn't take long and was efficient. Parked the car at the hotel. Room was a good size and VERY comfortable. Pool was small but a welcome treat during the 40+ heatwave. The staff was very attentive and willing to offer suggestions of restaurants and wine tours.

I wish I had requested a room with a tub (even though the shower was lovely). I had thought we could eat at the property but the restaurant was closed on Sunday so we had to go to town.

A jewel of a hotel. Beautifully appointed, stylish in design. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was exquisite. The pool is heated and excellent for relaxing in after a hot day in town. The tram stop is outside the hotel and gets you to Bordeaux town centre in a few minutes.

Fabulous boutique hotel with amazing facilities. We only stayed one night but wished we’d stayed longer. Tram stops outside the door every 10 mins so fabulous for getting into the centre

Everything about the place was exceptional . Only criticism is the breakfast is a little basic for €25 so I’d go out for breakfast next time

This interiors are very nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a little bit out of the city but because it is so close to the tram stop it’s is very very easy to get into the city quickly.

We expected more from the spa and the pool was a little smaller than expected but it was still nice.
