L'Échappée - Hôtel Casino Dieppe

Second time I’ve stayed here - it’s nice and comfortable. Good value and all I need from a hotel when I’m visiting Dieppe.

My previous stay (before Covid) included a really fun trip to the Casino where we played at the tables and had a fantastic experience. This visit to the Casino was very different. There were no tables just slots. The atmosphere was not welcoming and we waited at the bar to get a drink for so long we eventually gave up. I’m not sure how affiliated the hotel is to the Casino but I don’t recommend the Casino for fun at all.

This hotel was in an excellent location overlooking the seafront and the promenade. Wonderful views out to sea. We had a sea view and the room was quiet and very comfortable. The large bed was extremely comfortable. We liked the bathroom which was a good size and included a bath and a shower over the bath.

The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room. I guess this was because we were at the furthest end of the building. It was a pity that the bar was only open at certain times relating to serving dinner for guests . Surprisingly for a large hotel there was no lounge area

Although the food in the restaurant was excellent I felt that the staff lacked professional awareness considering the ambiance of the restaurant. We had experienced the restaurant before and definitely did not experience the cavalier attitude that we received on this occasion. We asked for a window seat, on the reply we received was “no way” and walked away. We arrived at 7.45pm and finally left the restaurant at 9.30pm, there was 3 window seats that were still vacant when we left. On this occasion of your staff.

We loved that there was an extra door between the hallway and the bedroom to keep the sound out. ALL the staff were amazing. The breakfast was next level. It was super clean, the view was amazing and we were not even on the sea side. The beds were comfortable. There is absolutely no more superlatives that I can ascribe to this establishment.

Excellent friendly staff, superb seafront view, made to feel very welcome. Very clean room and bathroom, bedding etc. Enjoyed a very good dinner in the restaurant. Easy walk into town and seafront opposite. Allowed to leave bags in secure store after checkout.

Bathroom WC on the small side. Over bath shower very good although step up into bath could have done with a grab rail. We are both 60+!!

Staff friendly we got what we needed we had fun there got in earlier than it was meant to be will be going back that was our second stay and no complaints.

Took a while to get a parking spot because of something going on there other than that all excellent.

Sea view, good aircon, very friendly staff with excellent English (but also happy to indulge my attempts at French :-)

Room and bathroom on the small side for a 4* hotel, also the breakfast rather mean for a 4*

- We took a junior suite which had plenty of room. Very nice view onto the seafront - Copious breakfast - Polite and courteous staff

- Cooked breakfast was not great. Scrambled eggs seemed to be processed. - Focus was on quantity vs. quality - Would be nice to see what the hotel is doing with regards to local community investment (including sustainable procurement initiatves and local environemental protection)

Barmaid at casino very nice and pleasant receptionist was very helpful all round was enjoyable stay.

1 socket in room didn't work but the rest did so could still charge everything.

Comfortable clean room with great seaview. Very helpful staff who stored our bikes for us and also looked after our bags when we passed through town a few days later- much appreciated
