Hôtel Le Biarritz

The hotel was well located, only 10 to 15min walk into town. It was in a beautiful location overlooking the beach. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was spotlessly clean.

The noise of planes overhead due to close proximity to the airport could be problematic if you're a light sleeper. The reception and check in a little chaotic but made up for by the friendliness of the staff. The USB ports in the room did not charge our phones overnight.

Clean , modern hotel. Everything to our satisfaction except the coffee machine. A short 5 minute walk from the beach, 20 mins from the old port; with a free bus part of the way if needed. Spectacular views on the way. Helpful staff.

Breakfast was good other than the coffee option; from a machine that seemed to produce a watery bitter cafe au lait. Not up to French standards. So we only had breakfast there on one occasion.

Spa access: it's not located in the hotel, it's on a nearby building. Different pools with jacuzzi and water jets. Excellent experience. Hotel: room was big, bed also big and comfortable. Hotel did have a bar and restaurant very good looking but we haven't tried it (1 night only).

Only 1 elevator, it was busy many times. Although we could use the stairs (room on 2nd floor). Since the spa it's on a external building, you have to equip yourself only there (but still worth it).

Room was comfortable and clean . Was a reasonable walk to centre of Biaritz , with nice restaurants and beach bars nearby. Free access to local spa pool was excellent , just down the road. The beach down the road was lovely , but couldn’t go as no dogs allowed . Staff very kind and pleasant .

Perfect location with parking. Good bed. We have stayed here before and we particularly like to be able to use the swimming pool premises the hotel offers down the street. Perfect place to relax after a 10 hour drive.

Rooms including bathroom are a bit small and some could use an update however we were very happy with our room this time.

Lovely, polite and helpful staff. Lovely location close to the beach. Clean and neat facilities. There is a bar and restaurant on the premise which serves delicious food. We also had access to the spa facilities a short walking distance from the hotel.

There was nothing not to like.

Staff welcome, free use of lovely Thelma spa and gym and close to surf school and beach all pluses. Nice relaxed part of Biarritz. Restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke English and food is great. Note that the hotel is not as close to Biarritz main beach and restaurants for which you will need a car if you plan to use them.

We noticed the advertised room price dropped markedly due to availability on the day compared to what we paid and we only booked a few weeks before.

Room and bed were comfortable; shower was hot. Room had a nice view and was quiet. Hotel is close to town and beach. There is a pharmacy next door, which was great because I had a cold.

No complaints.

Best choice we could have made for our 1 week stay in Biarritz! Everything was perfect : great location near Marbella Beach, sea view, free parking, amazing spa with fitness, aquagy and yoga classes, clean amenities, nice breakfast, kettle in the room and friendly staff. We highly recommend and will happily come back :-)

A practical location where parking is necessary. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Spa option very good. Restaurant meal was perfect for what we needed after a long journey.

Property was more basic than we thought but as somewhere to rest your head for 1 night it was perfect.
