Hôtel & Espace Bien-être La Maison du Lierre

I stayed with my daughter for four nights. The hotel is in an old Biarritz house, charming and well maintained, with a nice garden, central location and convenient to all amenities (restaurants, bars, supermarket, the market les Halles vicinisssimo) near the ocean. I booked a room with a terrace. The room was small for two people, but well organised, clean and quiet. The bathroom had a window and a wonderful shower. The terrace with sun loungers and chairs was very enjoyable. The manager and the staff were very friendly. They welcomed us with a bottle of champagne and sweets in the room, nespresso-compatible coffee machine, water. There is also a mini fridge in the room. The excellent and varied breakfast is served in a cosy room with a balcony, where you can stay if the weather permits. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice and cozy boutique hotel, much attention to detail (decor, daily water refills, stacked minibar, coffee et.), great location with all main places of Biarritz easily reachable by foot. The staff was very accomodating and attentive (including a nice welcome champagne though I arrived after closure of the reception), and the breakfast was delicious, although the variety could be improved a bit.

High prices, but this is very typical for Biarritz in August and compared to other places it was a great value-pick!

Location is really central to get to any beach. The building is ancient and look nice. It is great interior and very friendly staff. Breakfast was enough with natural products nicely served. You can have on terrace or small garden (but be careful of the seagull). Bathroom facilities small but equipped very good. Bed was convenient. Beach towels was available. Welcome wine in the room is nice.

My room faced to very busy street… it is very loud any part of the day, to avoid it you need to shut the window, but there is no air conditioning. So need to choose noise or fresh air. There is no special heater to dry swimming suit, so only natural dry.

Charming, small hotel with a great location, five-minute walk to the center of town, where all the cafes and shops are, and also to the grande plage. Room of good size, nicely decorated and very clean. The optional breakfast is of fair value, convenient, and it was a pleasure to serve in the small garden at the from of the hotel. For those on a high protein lifestyle, only boiled eggs and you have to boil them yourself. Staff super friendly and kind.

1. We knew this, but did not expect it to be a big issue, no air conditioning. Our room was very, very hot, despite outside temperature being around 25C during the day. There is a ceiling fan, but it is very noisy to be kept on during the night and not very efficient. 2. Street noise, the hotel is located in a very busy intersection, so not really a place for light sleepers.

Breakfast was great and the dining room was a good size: we stayed while it was particularly hot and because there was no air conditioning, we had a fan in the room and we had the shutters closed but the window open. It wasn’t ideal as there was quite a lot of outside noise….but we coped! The real plus side of the hotel was a) the staff who were delightful and very patient with my French and b) the location - we could go to the market in the morning, nip home with our purchases get changed and be at the beach in 10 minutes. Wonderful!

Nothing other than the noise and the air con!!

This is such a fabulously quaint hotel. It's my 3rd time in Biarritz, but it's my first time to stay at this hotel. The setting and customer service are absolutely outstanding. Everything is immaculately clean. Without a doubt, the staff are incredibly professional.I would highly, highly recommend this hotel and can not wait to stay here again. Thank you for the most wonderfully special stay.

It was absolutely perfect on every level.

Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful especially when I needed to see a doctor. They arranged for us to go to an SOS clinic out of town. The room was quiet with a pleasant aspect. Lovely decor throughout. The bed was large & very comfortable. Bathroom toiletries were classy. We had breakfast in the breakfast room. Nice selection of foods provided. We would rate La maison du Lierre at 10/10. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect.

Elegant little hotel close to the beach and restaurants. Lovely shared outdoor patio and indoor lounge. Breakfast has many options, including make-your-own boiled egg station. I appreciated the Individual room option for solo travelers. They even fit a double bed into the small space.

You can hear nearby rooms opening/closing doors but everyone tried to be quiet and some noise is inevitable for a gorgeous old house.

The location was great, very walkable to everything. The room was very nice and clean and I had a great balcony that looked out on a quiet street and there was a chair out there to sit on. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The bathroom in my room was right in the room. There was a door but I would have to sit sideways on the toilet to close it. It was fine for me because I was alone but just something to know.

Great quiet location in the center of Biarritz near the park and market. Seven minutes to the beach, three minutes to the big parking lot with a possibility of online parking space reservation. Numerous restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops around. The rooms are equipped with everything needed. The staff is very friendly. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommendable.
