Mercure Président Biarritz Plage

Great location within a two minute walk to the beach and casino. Family room was huge and had two shower rooms. The bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable and room was very quiet. Breakfast room is very nice and the breakfast selection is really good. Fabulous selection of teas. My four old especially loved the edible jam holders (mini ice cream cones). lots of bars, cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep and car park right next door.

No negatives at all, it was great!

Perfect location and a very comfortable stay. We drove to Biarritz and brought our dog. We had an extra fee for the dog and had to pay for parking (which was in the same block as the hotel and super convenient and less expensive than I expected) but this was known upfront and was expected. The room was so comfortable and clean - we had a view over the street and the city is just so beautiful. Location was perfect and we could walk - or run - to anywhere we needed to go from the hotel.

Fantastic location. I had a room with a view and it didn't disappoint - the view was fantastic! Super comfortable bed, very clean room and some complementary drinks in the mini fridge, which was a nice touch! The staff was amazing, they helped me with taxis, suggested where to go to eat, kept my luggage on the last day and allowed me to check out 1 hour later. Really fantastic people, very very kind. I'll definitely be back!

If I have to find one thing is that the pastries at breakfast were quite standard...maybe I was hoping for some good french croissants. Really minor point of feedback, everything was excellent!

central location, close to shops, restaurants and bars and beach.

our room 102 opened directly to diners having breakfast. The €20 for breakfast might be a good option given we were charged €5.50 for a coffee in one of the local restaurants. Not unique to this property, but charges for parking can add significantly to cost of a stay, better parking discounts for drivers would be good.

We stayed in a 9th floor Privilege room with beautiful sea views, enhanced by the view of the cafes and shops on the boulevard below and all the drama of the street theatre. Who needs TV with a view like that? The room included extras such as Espresso coffee machine, bath robes, high end toiletries, blue tooth speaker, etc.

Didn’t try the breakfast so cannot comment on that but hoped there might have been some snack/bar facilities. Saying that, it was but a hop, skip and a jump to a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars just outside the hotel and a very good sandwich bar next door for takeaways.

Very centrally located making it super easy to walk anywhere in Biarritz.

The room rate at over €320.00 is very steep especially with no breakfast included. Appreciate it is high season and we had a sea view room but they are rather compact rooms! We found the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We had a hire car from previous week of holidaying in Hossegor and visitors need to be aware there’s no hotel parking facilities but thankfully we found parking in the adjacent car park at €19 per day. All in all an enjoyable stay in beautiful Biarritz.

I had a big problem with the price the Hotel charged me. On the booking Confirmation it says I will pay 1.067,94 Euros and at the hotel the bill was for 1.187.94 Euros

Excellent location, within the pedestrian area, walking distance from the beach, a wide range of restaurants and shops. Small but comfortable bed. Complimentary water. Public parking next door (quite expensive though: about 20 EUR / day)

Tiny room, hard to find space to drop our two (small) suitcases. Overall the hotel doesn't fit the 4-star rating, it's rather a 3-star

The position is fine, the hotel situated in the centre of the city, it is just 5 minutes of walking to the beach and restaurants....The cleaning of the room is perfect, the staff are friendly.

The room was big, but not very comfortable. In 4 stars hotel shall be a safe, which was no there, I had 2 bathrooms, but I did not like any of them. No mini bar there, just waters.

Mr. Email welcomed us at the reception desk for check in and he was exceptionally helpful and with sincerity !

Parking situation was a little difficult but ultimately not of the hotel’s responsibility. Our car was almost too large for underground parking. Perhaps the hotel can provide for accessible parking and/or directions for large Escalade SUVs
