Best Western Le Vinci Loire Valley

It was easy to get to the hotel as it is just on the outskirts of the centre. It was very clean and the room had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. For us it was important that we could get in and out easily as it was a 'pit stop' on our journey to and from the Dordogne. As it is I wish we had more time as Amboise is a beautiful city which we didn't give justice to.

Aircon was a little underwhelming and the wifi did not work so well in the room. It is a 25 minute walk down to the centre so if you can't walk far you will need to take the car or get a taxi.

Friendly, efficient host, nice quiet room, comfortable bed, lovely big fluffy bath towels; pleasant breakfast room and very good breakfast with decent coffee and a variety of hot and cold breakfast options, including excellent fresh croissants and chocolatines.

Poor supply and selection of drinks in room; a few spills of instant coffee, only 3 teabags (none Earl Grey) and one spill of dried milk, and one small bottle of mineral water for two people, not replaced (because not empty?) for the second night. Stingy and inappropriate at this level of hospitality. Also didn’t like the fixed squeezy supply of universal washing liquid rather than shampoo, soap, shower gel etc in room. Again, inappropriate at this level of hospitality, and stingy. Finally, it took half-an-hour to walk from the hotel into the main Amboise shopping and restaurants area of the mediaeval town. We should have spotted this prior to booking. But the hotel IS well-places as a base for exploring the region by car, and convenient for the magnificent Chateau de Clis Luce.

it was pretty and comfortable. was a bit confused about the location of the shower but ended up being a good story!! breakfast was excellent with many options including fruit and eggs. woman at the desk was helpful with local map and recommendations. we had a car so were happy to have parking. we drove each day but could have walked to town easily

It looked as if this hotel had recently been renovated, inside and out. Very tastefully done. Our room was small, but very nice, tea/coffee facilities and also a fridge, which was very welcome. Breakfast buffet was very good. Great location, only 20 min walk into the town center / castle.

there is no restaurant in the evening, but you can order food for room service, which we did. Not very good, walk or drive into town for dinner.

Great location, staff is very helpful and always ready to help. Location is great to reach most of the places worth visiting. Great parking, front gate closed during the night. Lovely terrace to enjoy a beer after visiting the chateaus. Quite a varied menu for breakfast/dining/having lunch. Staff services and laundry are excellent.

super clean and spacious. The ensuite was as big as some hotel rooms. Staff were very helpful. Parking just behind the hotel and free. Plenty of large sized towels. Lots of sockets. Good choice at breakfast with a variety of teas. Kettle in the room with a selection of teas and coffee. Enough space to organise all your things. In all a very comfortable stay.

It was a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre. On the way back a long gradual hill.

it is dated and the elevator can only accommodate 1 person at a time. the rooms are small but I understand the limitations of converting an older multiple story home into a functioning hotel. That’s not uncommon for older properties in which character preservation may top other criteria

Great location and in a quiet area. Rooms very comfortable. Nice to have air conditioning with the warm weather. Loved the buffet! Felt safe during our stay and nice to have a garage for storing bikes. Allan at the front desk was so kind! He explained things and was so accomadating! Made us feel comfortable on our first trip to Europe!

Rooms maybe a little bigger but otherwise our stay was great!

Great location in the Loire Valley. Parking on site. Room was quite comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful.

Great place to stay. the staff was very helpful with printing tickets. The choice of food for breakfast really good. Very clean and well managed hotel. Great for walking from the centre after dinner. Parking well secured.
