Qualicum Beach Inn

The rooms were modern and very comfortable. The hotel appears to be newly renovated and updated. The AC kept the room at an even temperature and was super quiet. The high quality linens were crisp and clean. Bathroom was small but well appointed. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Restuarant had top quality food and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast there.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and pleasant. Restuarant service was super slow, had to ask for everything, e.g. coffee refills and then they didn't anticipate the need for more creamer.

Want to thank John at front desk, evening shift, he truly went above and beyond for us. So gracious and helpful. We ate a late dinner at the Qualicum Beach Cafe in the Hotel, and the food, service and entertainment were absolutely incredible. The tenderloin absolutely melted in your mouth!

Honestly, everything was great. My only concern would be to let people know there is no elevator for the second floor, which is where you will get the best ocean views, so may be an issue for anyone with disabilities. Great hotel overall though, very pleased.

Location, Room was exceptional, staff were great. Enjoyed the outside deck area & the ambiance in the dining room.

The food items on the restaurant menu were very inconsistent in their quality. Some meals were exceptional but others were overpriced for the size & quality, ie: crab cake (two) for $21 seemed too pricey for an appetizer. The Granola Bowl at breakfast was $15 & the size was ample but the quality was poor. In summer you should add fresh fruit not canned, tasteless melon which was disappointing.

Great location overlooking the sea, Tina on reception was very hellpful, giving us recommendations for local restaurants and cafes, also trying to sort our a room change, Reataurant was clean and had a great atmosphere, food was delicious. Hotel pool and jacuzzi area was very clean, pool was a bit chilly but the jacuzzi made up for it. Shower room was lovely and clean. added bonus had Molton Brown products. Fridge in room was very welcome.

there was no kettle in the room, this was rectified when we asked Tina, Tea is not a popular drink in Canada, so kettles are not routinely supplied. There is no lift, bit this isn't a real prolem as there is only 1 flight of stairs

The cafe is amazing! The menu has a great selection, and everything g we tried was more than perfect, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff was great too, super friendly and quick And a nice view towards the ocean The qualicum beach is very close (directly accross the road), it's a very long beach, nice and sandy(at low tide)

There is no elevator but it wasnt a big deal as there is only 2 floors.

Quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. Currently, the construction in front impeded any view of the ocean we may have seen. Although it was nice, it was pricey for what it was.

Fabulous aspect view from the room - beautiful sunsets! Large room, with 2 Queen beds & lovely Molton Brown products. Fridge in the room, was very handy. Pool was spotless & enjoyable. Restaurant staff were efficient & the food was very good. Reception staff were very pleasant!

In the days we were there, we were not able to have our room serviced. But the reception staff tried to accommodate our requests.

Large, updated room, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, soft scented, welcoming spa music, real mugs for coffee/tea. All nice touches. Just across from the beach, easy access to walk places. Front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating!

Luckily we didn’t have really noisy neighbors on either side of us, but even with their quiet talking or tv level we could hear. Seemed to be a lack of sound insulation between rooms.

We were warmly greeted and assisted to our room. The room was perfect! Clean, spacious & the bed superb. To top it off, the attached restaurant was luxurious & a fine dining experience - good variety & a great wine list. We'll be back !

We had difficulty finding the entrance as the hotel is at the rear of the restaurant. We parked in the restaurant parking and walked to the rear. Once there, the lobby was spacious and well decorated with a open entrance to the restaurant. Once we figured out the hotel layout, parking was close at hand with easy access.

We loved everything about this hotel! Nice style, spacious, clean room, king size bed, nice linen. Very friendly and helpful staff!!! The restaurant is absolutely amazing. Excellent gourmet-creations! We also very much enjoyed the music😀 Looking forward to returning for a lunch on our way back.

The pillows were much too high/thick, but we learned that thinner ones have been ordered.
