TownePlace Suites by Marriott Edmonton South

I booked two rooms. The rooms are spacious and it has all that is needed for a longer term stay. These rooms have Refrigerator, Microwave, Cooktop and dishwasher. There is coin laundry onsite. I noticed another thing that I have not seen in any other hotel and that is availability to borrow small appliances such as Rice Cooker, Juicer Blender etc. Staff is very co-operative. I would especially mention Ms. Neelam who worked diligently to fix an issue. Thank You.

As I mentioned that I booked two rooms and I was looking for rooms with two queen beds in each room. However, somehow the booking was changed to two rooms with one king size bed. That did not meet my requirements. Ms. Neelam helped in fixing this problem and she was able to get at least one room with two queen beds.

right from when we walked in the door. the service was spectacular. we felt so welcomed and invited and happy to be there. “welcome to the Marriott is this your first stay with us Jason and Julie?” they had we won on within seconds of walking into the lobby A HUGE shout out to the night desk clerk, the young Filipino man that came to our room at 1130pm to get Netflix working on our tv. Life saver. Superb service 100% will be back. in fact can’t wait to be back. we live 15 mins away from the hotel and we will go back just for the service and the rooms. let’s put it this way. our room had a dishwasher….

the parking stall lines seem close? maybe it was just me it was late n dark.

Comfy King bed Good amenities in the kitchen including toaster and two burner cooktop Can ask for appliances like a blendwr for smoothies and such Nice location near Blackmud Creek trails for walking and for access to hwy 2 and the Anthony Henday ring road Very pet friendly Breakfast was good We were on the west side away from the main Hwy 2 so noise was minimal Quiet

Could smell cigarette smoke in the bathroom coming in from the vents Pet fees are a bit steep at 20 bucks per night. The dispensers in the shower - one was broken

staff was very accommodating and helpful on checkin. They honored our request for a room near the elevator. They arranged taxis for and looked after us very well. Room was very clean, everything was ready.

The beds are fairly tall and I am short. So having a stack stool or something to put by the bed to get in and out would be helpful. The room was freezing when we went in and it took a long time to heat up. Perhaps have housekeeping turn heat on for people coming in.

I loved how well appointed and spacious the rooms were. I had everything I needed, and there were additional items to borrow from the front desk if required. The AC worked perfectly, and the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the full size fridge and stove top for making my own small meals and tea, and also really liked the free breakfast in the AM. I would definitely return here or recommend to anyone visiting Edmonton. Oh, and the Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with all of my requests.

I could have used a few more pillows but I also didn't ask, and have no doubt they would have provided extras if I would have requested it.

The suites are excellent for business travellers or an extended stay. There is a full kitchen and tons of storage space, a work desk and chair on wheels, lap desk and the couch has a neck roll and lumbar cushion for comfortable tv lounging.

The duvets are poorly wrapped in sheets one of which is too slippery to stay in place. Very quickly I found my face touching the exposed duvet which was covered in orange and black stains! Housekeeping brought a new duvet when asked but it too had black stains on it. A full button or zip on cover is desperately needed here. Additionally, there weren’t any wipes or hand sanitizer left in the rooms. Prior to COVID I would I use a facecloth to wipe down light switches and doorknobs. Since COVID every room I’ve stayed at has provided these amenities.

Absolutely loved how every suite has extra amenities and even appliances! Beds are super comfy and rooms are very spacious! Front desk people are always prompt and friendly!

Stayed for the weekend and both mornings, their breakfast was very lacking by 8am and was told they won’t be refilling anymore

No unpleasant surprises. Breakfast was tasty. The pool was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was roomy and comfortable.

Can't think of anything I'd change.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast options were fresh and the hit items were constantly refreshed. The kids loved the pool and we all slept great.

The pillows went flat immediately, lacked support.

I liked the separate bedroom

the breakfast was really low budget and they had no bedding for the pull out bed and there was a a police bust going on in the parking lot when we pulled up
