The staff was very helpful and polite. The Manager (Barry) as well as his duty staff all tried to be accommodating to the needs of the guests. Even the room cleaning staff put a few extra complementary items (coffee pods, teas) when they noticed our consumption. The facility also felt very secure with the individual floor access through the key card in the elevator. The facility was also quite clean.

They key card has to be inserted in a slot in the elevators control panel, but one has to often try several times or be a little assertive with the key card as the system doesn't pick up the signal. I figure this will degrade in the long run and they should have a proximity sensor rather than a card insertion mechanism. In the laundry room there were two washers and two dryers, but only one each was functional.

The location is good, friendly staff.

They have free breakfast, but the quality and the quantity of the breakfast didn't match the standards of other hotels at the same price range around the area. The technology used for key cards seems to be too old. They are too sensitive and you wouldn't be able to unlock your door if you had put the key card and your cellphone in the same pocket. Or even if they would just come close together. So every time we stepped out, we had to go back to the receptionist and reactivate the key card.

I loved the room: the bed was super comfy, there was extra pillows, beautiful finishings in the room, nice view from the balcony, good water pressure, and had a life saving air conditioner.

I disliked how rude one staff member was, who also over charged us, and then preceded to joke about wanting to over charge us even more; and due to the fact that it is pet friendly, unpon our checkout we went to take the elevator down only to find out a dog had relieved itself in there and therefore had to take the stairs down instead.

Easy to access from highway. Checking in and out went smooth and in a few mins. Near to a lot of restaurant, coffee shop and glossary. Large room and The bed is amazing comfy and the room was clean . Staff were very nice

the only thing there is the access cards to the elevators and the room , for some reasons I had to go back to the receptionist every day to activate it as it wont work till it te activated. but with a great staff it was not a big issue to me but the hotel management need to figure this out.

Check in was fast and friendly. Had clean room with 2 comfortable queen beds, 3 pillows each, some hard and a couple soft which was nice having choice. The room had a work desk and chair, microwave, fridge, TV, decent lights, sitting chair with foot stool, coffee maker, balcony and all the regular bathroom stuff. The room was redone in the recent past and was fine. Included parking on site

The internet was included but spotty in Room 456, dropping off and on especially in the morning all of our 3 night stay. I talked to the front desk people and they acknowledge the problem and said they were working on it.

The room was spacious and the bathroom with a separate shower was a nice touch. The place has an older layout but is comfortable.

The lady at the front desk charged us extra for bringing our dog into the hotel. I had purposely booked a pet-friendly room on the website. No mention of extra charge was mentioned. It did feel like an ambush and a cash grab. Had we known about the extra charge we may have looked elsewhere. The staff was very friendly except for the one woman who went out of her way to be rude.

Stayed in room 201. It is huge with a walk-in closet. There was a stain on the carpet but other than that the room was immaculate. The room is also very quiet. I didn't hear so much as a whisper outside my room throughout my 2-night stay. Beds are comfortable. Lots of parking available in a well-lit area. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming.

I would have to get pretty nit-picky to find something wrong.

I appreciated the friendly service when I arrived for check in Dec.31 evening. The front service was exceptional and professional. He had excellent customer service skills.

I disliked the service at the time of check out. There were 3 people ahead of me and their checkouts went smoothly. When it came to my turn the employee for the morning shift made me wait before I got my damage deposit back. I didn't appreciate the fact that because I am Native she made me wait until the room I slept in, was fully checked by house keeping before she gave me my 200 dollar deposit back. I think that was uncalled for and a racist procedure. I didn't see her do that to the 3 other customers before me. I felt like she stereo typed me . I don't think it is fair for anyone to be treated the way I did.

When checking in the staff made sure to give me a room in a quieter area of the hotel specifically because that room was nicer. Bed was extremely comfy and made for great sleeps. Right beside one of the busiest roads in Edmonton but traffic noise was light. New ownership or management since my last time here makes a big difference

The Smitty’s restaurant that was here did not survive the pandemic it seems but it was overpriced and not very good anyway. The lounge was closed on my second day here because the bartender called in sick. Her service was sub par the night before anyway so I am sure this issue will be addressed very shortly given the managers reaction as to my inquiry why the lounge was closed.

The manager was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We came to the city for our daughter’s minor surgery and when I called to ask if we can come in at 1PM instead of 3, he didn’t hesitate and welcomed us.

It’s a dated hotel so don’t expect much more from what you pay for but staff are really great!
