Delta Hotels by Marriott Calgary South

Breakfast meals tasted great! The pools were nice. Staff was polite!

One waitress needed more training in the restaurant. Served us hot chocolate that was cold. My grandson spilt it because the cup was really heavy for him. She never topped our coffee, we asked another waitress on shift. She tried to take our extra ticket when we only had three meals because our one grandchild only ate my toast. Waitress was a bit scattered. The woman that served us the day before for breakfast was a phenomenal server. She was absolutely incredible. Gave her a good tip!

Even though my room was on the first floor, near the parking lot, it was very quiet. I was never disturbed by outside noises. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I had a small problem with the shower head but when I adresser it to the staff, it was taken care of immediately.

My only critique, and it’s a small one, was that there was no booklet or something comparable, with information like nearby restaurants or attractions or shopping. No information about the hotel amenities or the hours, etc.

All the above. Bed very comfortable. Sage restaurant food very good. Room well appointed. Staff courteous, friendly and helpful.

No full menu restaurant on premises. Staff not wearing masks. Dangerous sharp shard of hard plastic about 2 cm x 1 cm found in Sage restaurant carrot cake. Staff apologetic and made small reduction in bill though not requested. We hope notice of this alarming incident was passed on to administration.

Hotel is in a very convenient area of Calgary close to C-Train stops and multiple grocery stores. The facility is large and clean on the inside, and the rooms were very clean and laid out as advertised.

The bedsheets could have been more fresh, but the bedding was clean overall. If you're in the other side of the building, the elevators are the main way you're getting around and it takes some time if there is lots of traffic. Wish there was a more convenient stairs option.

Convenient location, with lots of shopping and restaurant/food options nearby. Plenty of on site parking. Staff were friendly and quite helpful. Rooms were well appointed and good size.

The included breakfast, while good, was a voucher to use at the restaurant, instead of a buffet. Some parts of the room were a bit worn out / not clean, but this was minor. The room we got was noisier than expected as it was right by the elevator and thoroughfare to the next building.

We were very happy and content with the facilities. Parking was free. The room was a little cool but we were given a heater very quickly and it was nice soon after that. This is the second time we have stayed at this location and we recommend it. It is close for the places we were going and the roads were not too busy. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Service not so but thank you to one young lady who noticed no menus after a long wait then breakfast came asked three girls for a coffee warm up as well as butter for pancakes & never came. Wished I new the young lady paying attention as she then served us well & gave us coupons for a free breakfast

This place had it all!! The on site pub had so much to offer pool, Foosball, darts, shuffle board. Hotel had 2 pools 1 had a really awesome waterslide!! The room was clean, beds were comfy, elevator had 0 wait time unlike other places we've stayed. 24hr food fridge, 2 restaurants.. we couldn't have been happier thank you delta :)

Nothing I didn't like

This was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip(6 different hotels). It had the most comfy beds, the best waterslide for the kiddos, an actual ordered hot breakfast when so many hotels had limited reheated options "because of covid" even though restrictions were lifted. This hotel was nice and clean, updated/modern, all the amenities we needed. Staff was super friendly as well. I will definitely stay here next time i am in Calgary.

There was nothing i did not like, everything was great other than the pub/restaurant was closed at 9 pm i believe it was on the Wednesday night when we were looking for something to ear.

-Bathrooms were lovely -Bed was exceptional. Felt like you could sink into the mattress. Pillows excellent too. -Staff were great at check in/check out -Young woman at the restaurant just behind check in (round 8 ish, July 20th) was just lovely and sweet. She had her hands full with 3 or so tables and some people at the bar, yet she did her job with an upbeat attitude, care, and attention to detail. I only stopped by for a snack mind you, but it's worth mentioning. Seen so many grumpy people lately and at Delta not a single one of them were staff. -Liked the option to watch YouTube and such off the TV. I hate most normal TV shows and watched all I care to on Netflix, so that was a nice touch as well. -Very clean room, again the bathroom was great.

Bit of a walk to get to my room but honestly that's fine. Way less foot traffic on my end of the hotel and that is always lovely. Little bit noisy hallway but got pretty quiet around 8 or so.
