Hotel Louisa

Located in the heart of Oostende, this hotel is a has quite a bit of charm of the old days (art-deco dining room and many original details in the public spaces). Interiors of the rooms are a little bit more modern, albeit the age starts showing. The room was, however, clean and tidy. The owner/manager was very nice and offered an option to check in later than originally planned. She also offered guidance around the town, and was overall super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was tasty and set us up for the day rather well,

I would consider starting renovations as soon as possible, as the rooms are ageing and this translates into some things being broken or on the verge of being broken. WIFI didn't quite work.

Another great visit to Ostend and stay at the Louisa. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room facilities were great for our needs and budget. The room was spacious and bathroom large. The breakfast which was included with our package was a buffet with a plentiful choice and amount. The staff were again helpful, polite and happy. The location is great - just a short walk from the seafront and main square. This is our go to choice of hotel for our visits to Ostend and will remain so on the strength of this stay.

Nothing. Everything was great. The toilet is a little close to the wall, but nothing to spoil it.

The Hotel Louisa is well situated near the centre and beachfront of Ostend. Our room was small but everything we needed. A small fridge is available from reception - free of charge. The room walls are a little thin, so if your a light sleeper I would recommend you use the complimentary ear plugs. There's adequate wardrobe space and there's plenty of hot water. We took the breakfast option and are glad we did. There's cereals, fresh breads, pastries, toast, fresh boiled eggs, a selection of cold cut meats and cheese, fruit, Yoghurt and hot scrambled eggs and bacon. Theirs a coffee machine for reviving yourselves after sampling the delicious belgium beer and food. Theirs also chilled fruit juice and water. The staff - predominantly Francis are very helpful, both with questions about the Hotel, Ostend and Belgium in general. We would continue to choose The Louisa as our go to option for hotel stays in Ostend.

The walls are thin and you do hear noise from other rooms. But if your not yo bothered by this then I would recommend the hotel.

Really helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, great location and excellent breakfast. I booked 7 rooms for our party and everyone in the group was happy with their stay. Fantastic bar directly opposite with great range of Belgian beers.

The Hotel advertises parking but the reality is there were only 2 spaces away from the hotel. If you have a car there is plenty of local parking at a price. If like us, you travel by minibus then you need to find the coach park which is the other side of town.

Small family hotel close to the beach. Fine atmosphere and very kind staff. The hotel is in the centre of everything in the city. Many restaurants and bars are around, also markets and fireworks.

There are lots of noisy tourists around and in summer you can hear them through the open window. But I was there during the weekend.

As promised: great breakfast buffet. And nice service from the staff. Good location. Parking is tricky. Nearby you have Indigo parkings underground. We arrived in early evening, left next day during lunch, paid €11 for the night.

Only some small remarks: we booked a small room, which was fine. Can use some refurbishment but all ok. Especially carpet on the floor is not so hygienic anymore these days.

Booked in advance, check-in took literally just seconds. Parking is possible in 200 m in a public parking lot. The Hotel is a bit old but in excellent condition. Its location is perfect: just a street away from the seaside but also very close to the centre (still, it is not noisy!). The room/bathroom were clean, the bess are cosy (2 adults + 2 kids). The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Due to COVID safety measures we were asked to pick up breakfast (choice was plentiful) downstairs and take it on trays up to our room — an excellent solution which we all liked. All in all, we had a fantastic time and look forward to revisiting the Hotel again.

+ location is great: 2 min walking distance from the beach in the center of Ostend; + close to all kind of shops and restaurants; + early check in was possible; + the staff was super friendly; + it is very good value for money; + the rooms are big enough and very clean;

- it’s an old building / hotel; although it was very clean it needs renovation; -our rooms were on the street side and when the windows are open it could be noisy, but this was not a problem for us, as we stayed only 1 night, but could be an issue, if you stay longer.

Great location. Very helpful and kind manager, letting us stay a bit after normal check-out hour. All clean, lots of towels. Close to the beach and shopping streets. Breakfast was rather generous: eggs were great; we had yoghurts; orange juice, croissants, and selection of spreads for bread.

Noise from movements of neighbors upstairs - so, earplugs are necessary (and they were also provided). It would be nice to have a bit healthier charcuterie and cheese, less processed; and some wholewheat/brown bread, but the rest of the food was great.
