Hotel Julien

I liked first of all its style, a combination of ancient architecture with booiseries and fireplace, and modern furnitire. The hotel inccludes three ancient houses and you can still perceive them with their original decooration. This is not an anonymous and repetitive serial hotel. It is characterised by a cozy space to share at the ground floor and the terrace on the roof top. It is a small hotel with high confort and professional staff standard.

My room was in one of the building without lift and old wooden stairs- However the staff brought the luggage for me and 2 levels were'nt a great issue.

Friendly and competent staff; great location to discover the city; beautiful historic building renovated with attention to detail; pleasant lounge and bar area to hang out on a rainy day.

Room 3: Consider additional lighting above the sink - it is a bit dark for proper grooming; also check shower/glass partition settings - even after adjusting the shower head the water runs alongside the partition and over the bathtub edge, flooding the room.

We had such a great stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful - really made us feel like VIPs. The hotel has a very beautifully designed interior with lots of nice places to sit and relax, both indoors and outdoors in the courtyards. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options, also for vegans. Really liked the location, close to the cathedral, an inspiring area with lots of small independent shops, cafés and restaurants. Looking forward to staying again!

Although I have travelled to Antwerpen often, this was a first time. What a surprise! From the closed door entry to the lounge and access to rooms, you not only felt you were in an exceptional boutique hotel but that you were going back to the spirit of Antwerp (not necessarily in design terms but rather in soul) that made it so famous in the 16th and 17th century. No wonder it is recommended by the Axel Vervoordt Gallery.

Location was super close and just off the main sidewalks, was nice and quiet, the hotel room was big, had all the essentials, the staff were a big highlight, shout out to Greg who recommended a few things to see such as the nottebohmzaal. Very good I'd stay again!

Everything was great!

Our one night stay turned into two nights because we loved the hotel and the staff so much. The room and bed were so comfortable. The top floor patio with view of the cathedral was a bonus. One of the best breakfasts I have had in Europe. The staff was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. We received a guided tour of hotel to our room. The hotel is truly a gem.

Everything was perfect. Room with bad room was good. But the most important for us was the friendliness of the staff. It was just Fantastic. They give you advice for anything and everything. What is good or not for visiting, what nice restaurants there are in Antwerp etc etc…

Hotel Julien is a lovely property with a relaxed feel. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The shared lounge, bar and open fireplace provide a home away from home feel. This was a perfect stay for us in Antwerp.

Late checkin but that's typical of European hotels.

Great location, fantastic staff, nice breakfast.

We had been confirmed for two separate beds, but that was not arranged. But we accepted that.
