Holiday Inn Express Antwerp - City Centre, an IHG Hotel

The option not to have the room serviced. The breakfast had many options. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

The notice in the room that said that some pillows were firm and some soft. They were not. They were all soft. The breakfast food was not labelled, frustrating if you want to avoid certain foods. Few vegan options. The window, which was also an emergency exit, did not open. We said we didn't want the room serviced but we were disturbed several times and got room service while we were out anyway. They then took our four towels and replaced them with two. One of the coffee machines broke during breakfast and it took ages to get served.

Location of Hotel to main Station and tram Station was perfect, 5 minute walk. Staff were very helpful with directions, places to see, etc, and very welcoming. We drove to Antwerp and carpark was next door to Station of which you get a discount via the hotel for staying there. €20 for day minus €5 euro discount. Breakfast was plentiful to set you up for day. Restaurants and bars as you'd expect to pay overlooking some of the attractions but go back a few streets and restaurants and bars still plentiful but fraction of price. We visited as we were seeing Elton John. Tram to venue 20 mins or 30 min walking. Very well organised, getting large crowds away from venue and sufficient trams laid on to ensure everyone got home safely.

Hotel appeared new or recently refurbished, well designed, bright and fresh rooms with flexible furniture. High quality varied breakfast regularly replenished. Tea & coffee facilities in room.

Very few issues, the shower tray leaked into the bathroom but it seems no hotel can get this right these days! Available Breakfast slot was quite limited due to hotel being very busy but I appreciate the booking system was for our benefit and kept breakfast flowing and allowed us to get out on time.

Couldn't possibily be in a better location when you're someone like me travelling only by train.

I wanted to undust my flemish, but as soon as the receptionnist understood I was from Wallonia, she switched to English. Like she thought a walloon couldn't possibly hold a basic conversation in flemish. Felt pretty harsh and a wee bit condescending Breakfast was a mess, like it was the first time the hotel was fully booked, or first time there was a big gig at the sportpaleis.

Location near train station. Shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel staff very accommodating and welcoming. We asked to change room to twin bedroom and granted request no hassle. Twin room is quite spacious, kettle in room. Near tramline but room soundproof. Breakfast has a good selection: scrambled eggs, pancake, juices, fruits. Will finitely come back.

I loved the staff at the front desk. They were beyond amazing!

Breakfast could have been better and better quality. It was actually quite bad. But the hospitality from the front desk staff was too too good.

Very nice hotel right in the city centre of Antwerp. Room was small but well thought out. Very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast was included.

Parking is expensive, about €27 a day in the public parking garage. You can get a €5 discount per day at the front desk upon checkout.

Very nice stay, great location! Breakfast was a very good option too. Helpful personel. Room was tiny but enough for two people. Big plus for TV with YT option, radio. Kettle available. We are very satisfied with our stay.

Nothing to mention

Everything went smoothly, the room was calm, the staff was nice, the breakfast buffet was tasty and we received free bottles of water when leaving, which was really kind given the extremely hot temperatures.

Everything was as we expected, nothing bad to report.

Hotel on convenient location just on end of main shopping street. Room was spacious with big windows and at same time very quite despite looking on busy street. Good breakfast was served.
