The service mindedness and friendliness of the staff is fantastic! I had a late arrival and needn't have worried one bit. Clear instructions of how to get in were sent via SMS. The location of this property is second to none. Very central and particularly handy if you wish to walk to venues, restaurants, bars etc, that Melbourne has to offer.
The carpets in the corridors are old and smelly. They ideally need to be replaced now. I would have welcomed clearer signs or instructions of where to dispose of rubbish. I think other guests must've felt the same, as tied up rubbish bags were left outside their doors. Do you have a large rubbish bin available for guests somewhere?

The location of Quality Apartments is fantastic, out the front door and across the road and you are in Myer. Or to the left on the street and you are in the Emporium. Downstairs area was spacious and main bedroom was large and bed was amazing. Second bedroom was considerably smaller but still comfortable. The apartment doesn't get serviced but that was ok as we were two friends on a shopping weekend so we didn't really need the room cleaned. Staff were very nice, and we found our room to be very quiet at night. Huge bonus having aircon units in both the bedrooms too
So the only downside was that the lift broke down on our second day and we were staying on the top floor, Level 5. Now that doesn't sound that high but this is an old building and so every floor is about the height of two modern floors. Getting to our room with no lift was quite the task! The other thing I wasn't quite so aware of is that whilst I knew our room was on two levels, I had no idea the staircase to the bedrooms would be so steep. If you had any kind of knee trouble I wouldn't recommend.

Great location - very handy to everything for a great Melbourne experience. We requested a quiet room and the room we had was lovely and quiet. The room was spacious and had basic options for self catering. Daytime staff were all lovely and really helpful.
We arrived around 10.00pm from an international flight and had difficulty getting phone assistance to confirm our payment and get after hours access instruction email. The phone was answered once, but 3 subsequent calls from the same number were not answered. - which was really stressful. When we called from a different number, the call was answered and we were able to complete the payment arrangements and received the access instructions. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable. Housekeeping really needs improving - cleaning was not thorough.

Location location location. So easy to access public transport and walking distance to the entire Melbourne cbd. Facilities of an apartment are excellent and the welcome gift of wine and snacks was an unexpected and appreciated surprise.
Entirely adequate for price range considering location however a few cost neutral considerations. Cold LED lighting needs to be swapped out to warm bulbs. Given the rooms are mostly interior facing, lights are needed 24hrs and would make the property more comfortable for relaxing in. A lamp in the living area would have been wonderful for the same reasons.

The location was right for my needs and close to facilities and the the venue I was attending. I had a room upgrade because of the issues noted in my dislikes. The receptionist was happy to relocate me to a different and did so in a friendly and professional manner. The new room, although had no view, was clean and comfortable with good facilities. I would certainly stay again and look forward to doing so.
My first room had extreme odour of cleaning fluids and was quite unbearable. Also situated next to the washing machine facilities. The balcony itself was tiny and the outdoor furniture covered in bird mess. That was very disappointing and would recommend not to book a basement room. I felt it should not have been advertised as a room with outdoor sitting area. However, please read good points

I came down by train from country Victoria - chose not to bring a car but it was an easy walk from Flinders as I was travelling light. These are apartments, not a hotel. Room allocation was 'random'. The first apartment allocated was perfectly adequate but the venetian blind in the bedroom didn't work - you couldn't lower it to cover the window, so privacy & potentially light nuisance at night might've been a problem - & after 2 staff had unsuccessfully tried to fix it, they moved me to another room. The second room was twice the size (meant to sleep 3) with plenty of light & some lovely original Victorian features, which I liked. It was on the Elizabeth St. side of the building. The kettle didn't work properly but the staff just swapped it for one that did. The sofa in the living room, doubled as a sofa bed & might've been a good one but was extremely slippery & uncomfortable as a sofa (a shorter person wouldn't have been able to stay on it, I think!) & I was glad of a comfy upholstered chair to sit on. One of the bedside lamps needed a new bulb & someone with a 2m ladder will have to climb up to fix one of the curtains back onto the track - ceilings were well over 3m high, so I could see how it wouldn't be easy to do. The apartments are clean but a bit dated (you could tell from the wear & tear on older kitchen cabinets & bathroom fittings, shower over step-in bath tub). Location was great. Just behind Myer, on Little Bourke. On a Friday/Saturday night, I can imagine it would be noisy but mid-week, it wasn't too bad apart from some random rubbish collection at 4 a.m. (!) & trams on Elizabeth St. only really stopping between 1.30 & 5. but I didn't mind. I would definitely consider staying again. The reception staff were friendly & helpful.

There is a lot to like here- practically everything. The receptionists are super courteous, friendly and go above and beyond to help the people who stay there. There is never a dull moment when you ask them a question- no frowns- no excuses- just a friendly attitude with the desire to help. The lady in the morning shift (with spectacles) provided us with umbrella and an international power adapter. The room is spot on and feels like home. We had a great time and felt really sad that we were leaving Melbourne. It was quite an amazing experience as we could cook, do laundry and come back after exploring Melbourne! This is clearly a 10/10 and highly recommended for everyone who wants to have a great experience at a reasonable price. Totally worth the money and also exceeds expectations!
There is nothing I would change based on my experience of staying here.

The location is incredible, right in the middle of everything. The room is quite large and it’s great having a kitchen in a hotel room. Additionally, the soaps in the rooms were of high quality.
The bed wasn’t a true king, it was two king singles jammed together and there was a noticeable separation in the middle which made it hard to sleep on for two people. The duvet was also weirdly hot, and made us feel sweaty. Throughout our entire stay no one came to clean anything, though I’m not sure if that was included service or not.

Lovely central location on the edge of Chinatown, walking distance to Queen Vic Markets, Federation Square and Southbank. Spacious rooms with door between bedroom and living/lounge area. Perfect for us to have a few pre dinner drinks with our friends and not have to sit on any beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful :)
Our room was a little noisy but did have an opening door to outside tiny balcony (not big enough for sitting outside but nice for a bit of fresh air). Our friends room had no outside view or windows. Our bathroom shower/bath changeover mechanism was broken so no water pressure in the shower. Just a suggestion, perhaps reception could have some $6.00 tram cards that you could pay a deposit on and then once returned reimburse deposit. We went to St Kilda, (as a group of 4) we all would have had to have bought a Card each at $6.00 (being from interstate we would never need to use them again) then load on a days travel each another 6 or 8 dollars, so around $50.00 or more, decided to use Taxis instead.

it was as shown in pictures. I liked the upstairs downstairs spaciousness. liked the windows! bed, pillows and sheets were comfy. nice supplies of soaps, shampoo, conditioner etc. comfortable lounge furniture. generally clean
bathroom needs a spruce up. noticeable water damage/rot. towel rail off the wall. holes in wall. bathroom fan very noisy. toilet seat falling off. light in stairwell didn't work. could have used a tea towel or paper towels in kitchen. small TV for size of room/distance from sofa. I did notice a giant flat panel TV stored in the upstairs broom cupboard. why couldn't that be used instead?
