Keilor Motor Inn

Reception on arrival was efficient with the usual requirements being established and a required booking for a taxi being arranged for the following day. An enquiry regarding public transport was very appreciably helped with. The room contained a good guest compendium, which was able to provide much of the information desired, including local places for eating (which turned out to be a little outdated). The room was large but clearly “tired” and dated, with noticeable areas in need of attention. Nevertheless, there was ample bench space and a table and chairs allowing for workspace. The room also contained a large comfortable bed, although pillows were in noticeably short supply. Particularly if desired to sit up in bed to watch television. The bathroom was large and functional, with a shower that took some adjustment to attain a reasonable water temperature. Location is out of the way for most major shopping centers, however excellent for an overnight stay before departing for the airport. Especially if you have an early morning flight.

We were going to get in late and Mel was super helpful in accommodating a late check-in and even had the heater and electric blanket on for us when we got in. The space is basic and you're definitely near the airport, but that's what we were after. Super comfy bed (slept like a log) and getting to the airport in the morning was easy and fast, even though we had a flight that coincided with peak hour traffic. Got a decent coffee on the way to the airport and everything! Definitely would stay again.

If youre super sensitive to noise, you can hear the planes overhead. But its super close to the airport so that just goes with the territory.

This is an older style Motor Inn where age is apparent and we actually like that as you then appreciate the extra care and attention provided. Friendly welcoming, better than expected comfort and best provisioned we've ever experienced, great! Perfect location, close to Busy Beaver Airport Parking to break the journey for the next day travel north along the Calder Hwy. Next holiday away we'll be stopping here at Keilor Motor Inn both ways.😊😊

Well, if you're not too picky, there's nothing not to like.

Excellent location for an overnight stay before an early morning flight. Quiet location with food outlets just across the road. Comfortable accommodation at a good price in expensive Melbourne.

It would have been nice to have plates and cutlery for our takeaway dinner. The location is nice and quiet but a bit difficult to access approaching from the Clader Freeway inbound.

The room was spacious for 2 adults and an infant (portacot included!) Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Located on the main street of town where food options were nearby (within 5 min drive). Not far from the airport as well if you've had a long day of travelling and want accommodation to be not too far away.

Only concern for the room is where the aircon is - between two sets of curtains. Can't close them fully so you get woken up by the sun beaming into the room.

As others stated before: The rooms are a bit outdated and might need some refurbishment here and there, but in general, all was fine and very easygoing, especially the staff/owners very absolutely lovely and helpful. I felt very welcome and at home. There are several coffee shops across the street and you also have good bus and train connections. Downtown it takes about 60 minutes by public transport.

All fine for a motor Inn, nothing to complain about.

The fact that the building looks pretty crappy on the outside however the main living area was equivalent to any 4 star hotel. The bathroom is what you would expect for a place of this age. however I would definitely ,definitely go back there.

The area just outside of our room could have been cleaner as there were some cigarette butts and what look like to be event pipe at ground level that was full of cigarette butts. not a good look. However once you were inside the room and laying on the clean and comfortable bed, watching The big screen tv, it is all good!

The receptionist was extremely nice and helpful.

Cigarette butts outside the door on the parking lot. The aircon/heater was placed in the wrong area, as you couldn't close the curtains with the aircon/heater on.

Were happy to accommodate our late check in which was fantastic as we had a long flight and just wanted to get in and rest. The rooms were spacious and value for money, close to airport which suited us for overnight stay between flights.

No issues, everything was great

Roomy, close to Melbourne airport, some food and drinks stores just cross the road, no toll roads, fresh air in that area not that busy like other areas in Melbourne. Comfy beds etc

Due to winter a heating system didn't heat up the 2 rooms, still could feel the cold (summer time maybe different)
