Footscray Motor Inn and Serviced Apartments

Location close to major shopping centre, and conference venue at showgrounds, on a tram line and fairly close to train station, plenty of eating venues nearby. 8 minute train ride to city. Helpful staff who tried hard to respond to requests for microwave and extra beds, beds were very comfortable, water was hot. Price reasonable for location.

Needs basic maintenance, some lights didn't work, shower had a leaking tile in one room, security clip not complete on door, a cold tap on basin was really noisy when turned on. All things could be easily fixed by maintenance.

Shaun the manager was the best! Very helpful, easy to talk to and went above and beyond with any enquiries had about getting to places, where to eat etc etc. If it wasn't for him our stay wouldn't of been anywhere near as enjoyable. He was also a great story teller and had some cracking jokes.

My only two negitives were we had no spoons in our room for the provided tea & coffee. But Shaun quickly fixed that. Also no restaurant even though it's on the sign infront of the building.

Our room was at the back of the complex and was very quiet. Also quite spacious. Staff were great, very friendly & helpful.

Needs a bit of love - cracks in spa tub, bathroom door could do with a sand & paint, bathroom tiling seen better days - but all very functional. There was only one teaspoon for (potentially) three guests - not a big deal & easily rectified. The bed was not comfortable (for me) and an electric blanket wouldn't go astray with Melbourne's cold weather. Parking not really big enough for our family van.

My brother and I stayed at the Footscray Motor Inn for a week. The Manager Sean, Molly and the other lovely cleaning ladies are the nicest staff out of a lot of motels I have stayed at. They always had time for a quick chat and from that minute or two you could always tell they really like working at the motel. The rooms have recently been renovated and are cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding changed daily. We had a great view where we could see the cranes working on the new Footscray hospital which kept us occupied. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for having us. :)

Location was fantastic & very quiet (which I was not expecting). Easily accessible to main roads without being on them! The rooms were extremely clean & comfortable. Bathroom was also excellent for my needs.

The only disappointment that I had was a mix up with a new staff member the night prior to booking in. I had amended our start date and it obviously had not been changed on the system. Once that was sorted out, I was greatly relieved. The gentleman on the desk at my arrival was very apologetic and our stay was great.

The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful, not that I really needed anything. The gentleman in the front desk was one of the most interesting and open people I had the fortune of meeting whilst in Melbourne.

I didn't have the most fantastic view from my window, but I wasn't there to look out the window.

Staff were helpful. Water pressure excellent.

The area was not good. Not much open. No hairdryer in the room but got one from reception No late checkout available on the day we were there due to staff shortage. Exhaust fan in bathroom not working and silicon peeling off in shower.

The room was in a great location and close to everything I needed. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The only negative is that I think there needs to be another blanket in the room as I was a little cold. I don't like to sleep with the heater on, but was too cold with just the 2 sheets and thin blanket, definitely needs another blanket or bedspread on the bed.

Not enough bed linen - needed another blanket. Maybe a refresh of the room and bathroom wouldn't go astray.

Very convenient location for our family visits plus ready access to local train station for city or regional travel. The motel is set back from main city roads so a very quiet relaxing setting with generous amount of parking space available for those with cars.

The staff are always amazing helpful and very friendly. Great location.

Couch in the room was covered in stains, dirty bars of soap left in the shower and no towel racks. The bed was not the comfiest and the pillows was so flat. I have stayed here often and it is the first time I have stayed in that particular room. All other rooms I have stayed in have been absolutely amazing.
