Central City Motor Inn Ballarat

This was the nicest motel room I've ever stayed in! Not that typical dated, brick walled, beds all lined up in one room motel that I was expecting at all. The room was so fresh and light and modern, it was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. There was everything you could need, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, iron, hair dryer and more. The heater/air conditioning unit was perfect for a chilly night and kept us all warm. The bathroom was so spacious and again, so clean! Great shower too. Two TVs, very comfortable beds and Shane, the owner, was an absolute joy. Such a friendly and helpful man, approachable and inviting, helpful and knowledgeable on the area too. Will 100% stay again next time I'm in Ballarat and would recommend anyone else visiting stays here too!

Cant fault a single thing, the place was spotless, clean, comfortable, spacious and the staff were wonderful

Our room came with a small kitchenette where there was a toaster, microwave and hot plate. This was a great bonus for us to be able to have breakfast in the room and not spend lots of money on eating out. There were also plates and cutlery so we had a takeaway in the evening. Room was great and the adjoining bedroom had a tv which the boys loved. Location was fantastic and loads of restaurants right on your doorstep. Host was very friendly and helpful.

The Motel tried to accomodate an early checkin as we had arrived early on a flight from Perth and needed to work. We were actually able to check in 3hrs early which helped us greatly. Love having tea and coffee making available to help me through the day. Freindly helpful staff.

Only tip would be to provide better quality tea and coffee. I think everyone is past Maxwell House and Lipton for the few cents extra it would cost people would be very happy.

It was very very clean neat and tidy. The small self contained unit had everything needed to make some meals if you wanted to. The management were friendly and super helpful , nothing was too much trouble , helping us ordering a taxi ,to doing some laundry ! location was spot on.

There was nothing I didn’t like .

great city skyline view and location to lovely local cafe and great Irish pub with very good meals . lovely street very close with vintage stores , bar , vintage book shop and Lovely well respected Victorian designers shop and studio , Nicola Cerini . quite even through its facing the street . sweet little heated indoor pool was fun in a cold night .

a little change cupboard/ space at the pool would be handy . But not a big issue at all

Comfortable bed, nice central location, easy to find. Had a swimming pool, shower and everything as advertised. Staff go above and beyond to assist. Patio/outside private area is awesome. Provided towels and toiletries are ample for showers.

Pool was a bit cold, pool towels needed. Couple globes not working in the room. Car parking would be a struggle with a larger car. Two different breakfast menus and no price list for the mini bar?

Location is close to amenities and facilities. Rate is affordable and value for money. It's clean and bed is very comfortable There's street parking available for guest and visitors Staff are helpful and friendly

It didn't have any lift which is difficult if you have luggages and heavy bags. There's no secure parking. Just street parking.

good clean motel..good size rooms and been modernised ..everything worked as it should and the owners are super friendly and happy to help..I think its a good value for money motel ... the Irish pub nearby is a great place for a meal as well

my only grip is the car park its very small ...not much the owners can do with it ..its all it can be... there is a quiet street outside for local traffic you can park on though

This was our second stay here. As before we found the room to be clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the Art Gallery, so very convenient for the town centre.

Nothing to complain about, although with the benefit of hindsight we should have stated a preference for a downstairs room as we had a lot of luggage!

The motel was in an excellent location and the room was extremely neat and tidy with fridge, microwave, toaster. The bathroom appeared to have been recently refurbished and the room had a nice balcony with table and chairs so that the lovely view of the rose gardens in the street could be enjoyed. The curtains were thick and blocked out light as well as there being an additional blind. The owner was always around and the premises felt safe and secure. There was a small pool.
