Staying at Rydges was an excellent choice for my wife and I. The hotel is impressive in design and modern in presentation. The staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and cooperative. The room was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant several times and were impressed by the quality of food and efficient service. In addition, the views from the restaurant were spectacular. The hotel is well located and caters extremely well for hire cars/vehicles. It was impressive to be offered incentives by requesting not to have the room cleaned for monetary return as well as eliminating the car parking fee if dining at the restaurant. In all, it was a terrific experience staying at Rydges in Adelaide.

The only negative was the room was on the first floor so we were unable to capitalise on the views we experienced in the bar-restaurant.

Great location two blocks from the tram station, close to The Ghan station and near some lovely gardens. Lovely, clean room. Extremely helpful staff. Had we not been told about the Christmas Pageant the following day, we would not have known about the road closures and would not have been able to return our car on time. Bruce took the initiative to warn us about the closures and suggest an alternate route we might use. We rode the tram downtown, discovered the location of the Avis office, and decided to return our car the night before. Bruce’s help allowed us to enjoy the following day stress-free and make it to The Ghan on time.

We loved this hotel, we stayed here for one night on two occasions a week apart. On both occasions the reception staff were lovely, and very obliging and helpful: we were greeted with a refreshing washer similar to what airlines do, it was an unexpected pleasure and so refreshing after travelling to the hotel. The breakfast staff were lovely too, especially the chefs 😀 We were given an upgrade when we returned for second stay which was lovely. We like to location, easy walking to downtown and the tram. Breakfast was very good too. Car parking also good.

There was nothing about our two stays that was negative.

Value for money was great! The rooms were lovely and modernised, clean, fresh and a great size! The beds were nice and comfy. Overall we were pleased with our room.

The room location was at the front of the hotel overlooking a busy main intersection so some nights we did hear some loud car engines (modified V8s) and a lot of service vehicles (ambulances) travelling through that intersection so it was a little noisy some nights but wasn't too bad. The bathroom vanity was a little on the smaller side but was manageable.

Spacious. The staff gave advice on the city tram (15 min walk) & where to get my camera successfully fixed. An incredible plethora of USB charging & power points! Great view of the park. Long mirror as well as bathroom mirror. Excellent split system. Block out curtains. Near window table & chairs plus office chair, lamp & desk. Comfortable queen or king? size bed. Wide screen TV. Hot shower. Roof top views from restaurant with 2 courses for $55. Minibar. Checked in my luggage early & they rang me when my room was available. Closest hotel to station, but still a 10 min taxi ride. I saw a staff member calmly deal with a queue of people with various difficult issues with a smile.

I lost a new earring - possibly before I got there. However the motion sensor floor level lighting helped me look for it - unsuccessfully. Could hear some other residents.

newish hotel with modern facilities ie. flat screen lcd, can watch YouTube and cast movies fr phone. rooms are large with small table. quiet even when facing main road junction. love the heated spa and pool(not heated) altho small but good enuf. can walk to chinatown 15-20mins. lots of food, restaurant, shopping. if you stay a few days, can get $10 daily, redeemable for food or drinks/beer in hotel if you choose not to have housekeeping. but can request for fresh towel, toiletries.

need to park outside as most time at nite is full- need to pay for parking. but plenty free parking nearby along main road after 6pm to 8am (2hrs free after 8am)

The really nice guy at reception came out to the taxi and got my heavy bag for me, taking it inside. The same lovely person hand3d me a hot towel to freshen up, this was a wonderful surprise and very much appreciated. Such a great greeting on arrival. The room was lovely and clean with a nice view out across a busy intersection, so plenty to see. Staff offered to book me into dinner or breakfast, very helpful and welcoming. It was a great stay.

The TV guide button didn't work on the remote, only a little thing and not really important.

the cleanliness of the room, how comfortable and soft the blankets were as well as the bed itself, the spa bath in the rooms, the spacious balcony, the access to the pools etc and the best part was the buffet breakfast included in the stay

I feel that in the rooms there needs to be more plates, cutlery etc for when we bring our own food as we brought food to make a cheese platter and had no knives, platter board etc to use

From the moment I walked into reception, I was impressed. The customer service I received was outstanding! Everything was explained to me perfectly, and the gentleman I was served by took the time to chat with me about my day and seemed genuinely interested. He was so professional that he had realised that he had forgotten to tell me what time breakfast was served in the restaurant, that he flagged me down in the carpark to tell me. The room was beautiful, with a stunning view of the South Parklands. The beds and chairs were very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and modern.

Underneath the bedside tables are sensor lights to light up along the floor. One of these lights didn't always turn off, so I had to put a pillow in front of it. This wasn't a big issue, as we were still able to get to sleep when it wasn't blocked by the pillow.
