Bay City Motor Inn

This accommodation is a VERY clean updated 3? story structure. The complimentary basic compact self serve breakfast area is located in a corner of the big lobby was quickly restocked. It was CLEAN and FRESH like ALL of the other areas. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Located closer to the freeway, outside you could some traffic noise, nothing inside. The parking lot is very clean, spacious and WELL LITE. The area WAS run down with lots of homeless people, not now. There's lots of new constrution. They are close to a small mall containing a Dollar Tree and? There's a variety of eating areas across the street or a short distance to clean old Bellingham a few? blocks away.

It could have been free. L.O.L. The off? season price we got was very reasonable.

Priced at one of the cheapest in area and better than other, more expensive hotels in the area. The Aesthetics will not wow you, but I value cleanliness over aesthetics and this place was pretty clean. Beds are also very clean and comfortable. Area around this place is not sketchy at all and never caused me concern. Front desk extremely helpful. At this price it is hard to find anything else in Bellingham that would not come with many negatives. Very happy I went with them and would 100 stay here again and recommend to anyone.

The worst thing I would have to say is the Hot water didn’t get hot enough. That’s pretty much it. Maybe can be slightly noisy when morning comes, but that’s to be expected anywhere. Positives heavily outweigh the negatives here.

Large room & firm new mattress. We haven't travelled in 3 years & used to stay here on every visit to the US. It is very clean & exceptionally quiet even though on a busy street. The breakfast was adequate & was well stocked.

The beds are definitely higher & apparently even the handicap rooms are too. As we are 2 seniors we had difficulty getting in/out of the beds. There was no bathmat in the tub & we decided it was unsafe to use. In hindsight we should have reported it to the front desk.

The staff was incredibly helpful and always greeted everyone with a smile. The hotel offers a good balance of price point and offerings. I've stayed in larger brand-name hotels in Bellingham that were more expensive, and Bay City Motor Inn was a much better place to call home for a few days.

I would have preferred just a bit of a better breakfast and more coffee but that is not to say that the service wasn't appreciated. The hotel offers a good balance of price point and offerings.

Nice clean room with comfortable beds which is important to me. The free breakfast was amazing! Make your own fresh waffles was the best and everything else like, fresh coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, pastries, boiled eggs, bread to toast, bottled water...the list goes on! Will stay there again next time I'm in town.

There was just bit of a language barrier with one the ladies working at the front when I checked in. Had difficulty understanding her but other than that everything else was great.

I read the reviews of all the other hotels and motels in the area and this was the only one that didn’t have any negative reviews. I actually canceled another reservation to stay here instead. You could tell this was an older motel, but it clearly has been updated and we were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, staff were friendly, there was free waffles for breakfast and it was also the cheapest hotel in the area. I would 100% stay here again.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

The Bay City Motor Inn is an exceptional example of affordable, clean, comfortable accommodation. Each room is quiet and obviously well maintained. The bathroom is roomy and the amenities in the room are reliable. The bedding is very inviting although the mattress was a bit too much on the firm side for my preference. The parking was easy to access and secure.

Did I mention a firm mattress?

Frozen butter proved a challenge to spread on toast. No hard boiled eggs (protein) Left side of toaster elements not functioning possibly burnt out or magnetic contact plate misaligned in lower mechanism thus toasting only one side of bread. One ball missing from pool table, maybe jammed in mechanism and not releasing

We just needed a place to stay for one night so we didn't have to drive back after an all day event and the bay city motor inn was perfect. Affordable and clean. Really a great place!

A little slow on the check in process and the bed was great but a little firm. Overall this location was fantastic - clean and very well kept. I would instantly stay here again, without question.

Very comfortable bed. Good size room, with large bath/ shower. Having a light breakfast included was useful, as I had to get up early to catch a ferry.

There was a slight smell of cigarette smoke in the room when I entered , in spite of being told that smoking was not allowed in the room. Maybe left in the carpet from a time when smoking was allowed?
