SureStay Studio by Best Western Virginia Beach Oceanfront

We really enjoyed the location, room was clean and big with a full kitchen (except for a spatula!). The WiFi was good, but reception was not always constant. We also loved the balcony overlooking the boardwalk and beach (ocean). There is a very nice ice cream shop just beside the building on the boardwalk side. This hotel is located pretty much in the middle of the boardwalk length so this means that there are many restaurants, mini-putt, and souvenir shoppes nearby as well as a pharmacy. There is enough parking for one car per room and you can park either on the first floor (which is covered) or the second floor (which is exposed to sunlight). Overall, it is a great hotel for the money!

The elevator is a bit of an issue as there is only one and the wait can be quite long. The room were supposed to be cleaned every three days, but no one came during our entire five day stay, which was not much of an issue for us as we cleaned the floor with the broom provided and we changed the trash ourselves (you can ask for extra garbage bags). You can also get more towels, toilet paper, and paper tissue at the reception whenever needed.

AMAZING location. Great overall value. So close to the beach without breaking the bank. We could hear the waves with the balcony door open. The balcony itself was full size, my boyfriend and I could sit out there people watching and relaxing. The living area had a flat screen and so did the bedroom which was separate. The kitchenette with the full size refrigerator was a huge plus, we didnt have to cram all our drinks into a mini fridge that’s hardly cold. We didn’t cook anything but it did seem stocked with all the essential cookware. The hotel room was clean and very spacious. The elevator wasn’t as slow as I was suspecting after reading other reviews! Maybe it’s been fixed and also I’m aware that it’s a fairly old building so it’s not going to be super fast either. Also the fact that it’s an older structure im sure helped with how sound proof the rooms are. We didnt hear a peep from the other vacationers while in our room. It was very peaceful. The free parking deck was a nice inclusion as well. I felt safe that my car was in an attached garage rather than out on the street.

The beds were literal bricks. The bed sheets were soft and overall I was able to sleep but I think some mattress toppers would be an affordable way to upgrade these beds. I woke up with a very sore back :/ The living room couch and curtains could use some upgrading too. They looked old and unsightly. Though, these are both cosmetic issues that didnt really effect the quality of our stay.

I like the ocean front view, the staff were very nice and Josa was very nice, informative and attentive!

The elevator wasn’t so great, for a hotel to have 8 floors should invest in another elevator, I also heard other people say the same. I’m glad there was a sign that stated the elevator was still safe to use since it sounded horrible.

I really like this hotel. There's no smelly carpet. I bring my own mop, broom, and cleaning supplies. Clean the way I like. I can cook. There's a full sized refrigerator and two burner stove. Everything is wipe clean. Even though I didn't require maid service, the floor maids were so pleasant and kind. Front desk clerks were friendly. The access to the beach was awesome. So was the balcony view and the pool was a bonus.

The rooms are large/ family style but u can only park one car in the lot. One of us came from Florida. One came from Maryland n one from Richmond. Parking is inconvenient

My recent stay at SureStay by Best Western in Virginia Beach was nothing short of spectacular, and the highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking suite facing the ocean. From the moment I stepped into my suite, I was greeted with sweeping views of the glistening ocean, creating an ambiance of pure serenity. The suite itself was incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed. The decor was tasteful, and the furnishings exuded both comfort and elegance. I appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the well-designed seating area, which made it a perfect place to unwind and take in the picturesque ocean scenery. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and the warm, golden rays of sunlight streaming through the windows was a dream come true. I could hardly believe that I was fortunate enough to have a suite with such an incredible view. Aside from the stunning suite, the hotel's location in Oceanfront was an absolute bonus. Being steps away from the beach meant that I could easily enjoy leisurely walks along the shoreline or relax on the sandy shores whenever I pleased. The convenience of having the ocean just outside my suite made my vacation all the more memorable. Throughout my stay, the hotel staff maintained the highest level of hospitality, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. From the moment I checked in to the time of departure, their friendly and attentive service made me feel like a valued guest.

The checkout staff was very rude! Our family was going to extend the stay until an emergency came up,so we had to leave and head back to NC. The old guy with the bald head “don’t remember his name” took our deposit for incidentals because we had to check out after check out time being that we were going to extend our stay but our plans changed back home so we left the hotel instead of extending. We paid over $400 for one night was not worth it especially after how we got treated for leaving the property an hour after checkout time we wanted to stay but couldn’t due to personal circumstances so we were charged an extra $100 for leaving an hour after checkout after we told them we were going to stay another night before we got the devastating call from back home.

Rooms were clean, view was great, right on the boardwalk. Our AC worked really well. Room has a stove and all the dishes/pots/pans you need. Very convenient. Nice pool, kid friendly. Staff was helpful.

There is 2 sets of washers and dryers which didn’t work half the time we was there. That’s my only complaint. But I did take them downstairs and the front desk was more than helpful to dry our laundry. Maybe need some updated washers/dryers. Other than that no complaints!

We ate breakfast somewhere else, but it was delicious. We liked the comfort of the bed and the views from the balcony were fantastic. The staff was really nice and friendly. Our room was very clean and the front desk and maids always asked us each day did we need anything. This is the way that every hotel should be like ya'll.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like. Well we didn't know about the construction that was going on, so we just had to deal with it. It would be nice to come back again once everything is finished.

Allowed early check-in. Location. Nicely remodeled. Full size fridge. Very secure with using room key to access elevator & stairs. On-site parking. Communication with staff prior to arrival, during check-in, and during stay. Request for low floor was made at booking & we got it because we arrived 2 hours before check-in.

Mattresses uncomfortable. No handicap accessible rooms. Should of at least put in some higher toilets & grab bars in shower. Pull out loveseat/couch had very thin mattress

It was clean, the kitchenette accommodations were perfect, the view was awesome. The balcony was perfect size to sit on for 2 people. The AC was efficient. There was a full size iron and ironing board and plenty of places to put your clothes and suitcases. The hallways were clean, the pool was maintained very well.

There were no carpets, so sand got everywhere. There was no warning about the very loud music festival happening right outside the hotel. Some of the blankets were stained or had burns in them from previous guests. The bed was very hard.
