Hyatt House Virginia Beach / Oceanfront

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was perfect for our family of 6. The location was fantastic, close to restaurants, stores and activities that suited our family's needs. Thr veiw was absolutely breathtaking. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Virginia Beach!

The only negative was that one of the two elevators were out. Which made waiting to get to our 14th floor room a little inconvenient. However the staff was more than willing to allow us to use the service elevator when checking in and out.

The bite location was perfect. Beach was perfect ! The room was nice . The bed was comfortable ! The kitchen area was nice to have but the fridge could have been bigger ! The balancing and view were fabulous the grab and go breakfast was tasty and adequate !

The room could have been cleaner when we first entered it. The carpet was still sandy and the bathroom floor was sandy. The balcony was dirty. I cleaned the chairs ans floor myself.

We loved the room. we were on the 19th floor and the view was spectactular. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the people who were working in there were exceptional. I had my husband in a wheelchair and they were all very helpful. It was nice to see that there was banana's there every day.

Would have liked an outdoor swimming pool. We enjoyed the indoor pool, it would have been nice to have some lounge chairs in there. We found that you had your balcony for sitting outside and then there was the beach. There was nothing in between. That's why an outdoor pool would have been better. In the breakfast room, staff were exceptional. Would have liked more choices for breakfast. Adults like cereal but the choices were for mainly children. 1% milk and non-dairy milk would have been nice. Also I thought the lack of bakery goods a little disappointing, e.g. no muffins, or english muffins. You only had toast. Thought the sight of all the dogs a little puzzling, with it being such a well kept hotel. Saw dogs peeing on floor and owners leaving it.

The view was amazing. The room was clean. The location being on the boardwalk was perfect. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The eggs at breakfast were powdered and rehydrated. There was a gentleman from the hotel that knocked on our door and told accused us of dripping water onto the restaurant patrons from our balcony. My suit was completely dry and our room wasn’t over the restaurant. He also didn’t like that we turned off our ac to open the door for fresh air. That made me angry. We booked a room on the ocean so I could sleep in the fresh ocean air and hear the waves crashing on the beach.

It was my Anniversary and I had ordered flowers balloons, candy, and wine. The hotel staff set it up in our room and it looked really nice. We were greeted with a smile and given the information we would need during our stay. You pay a fee for your pet. I saw other dogs but the hotel did not smell like pets and owners had control of their pets. Our room was clean and oceanfront. and our view was great. Our breakfast was hot and good choices on the bar to pick from. Staff was very friendly. when we needed extra things, it arrived in no time. I will stay there again. Friendliness even at check out. We were very close to other eating spots and shopping and I loved that it is on the boardwalk.

The room was modern and clean. Every single staff member we interacted with was extremely nice and helpful! The staff was responsive to any requests or questions we had in a timely manner. The view of the beach from the room is excellent!

The breakfast was good; however, the eggs were too salty. It would be nice if the "main" course was rotated daily (pancakes were served 3 out of 4 days, and waffles on just one day). It would be beneficial to have more than seven luggage carts for a 20-floor hotel. It is hard to obtain one on check-out day which makes things more stressful.

Nice and clean... No issues... The people who worked here were great.. Love the balcony oceanfront view...valet parking was great...Me and my family really enjoyed ourselves here... Rite in the middle of everything...Will come back again.

I walked out back of the hotel and was at the beach. I walked out the front door and I was on the strip where there was plenty places to shop and eat

Perfect location! Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Quick drive to the aquarium and boat tours. The beach and boardwalk are right outside your room! The rooms were clean.The kitchenette was adequate.The staff is super friendly and helpful! Robert and Howard should be given an award for their hospitality and friendliness! The breakfast was pretty good, with lots of options. Loved the pool! It was very refreshing after a day in the sun!

The beds and pillows were a little soft. The restaurant was way overpriced and the food was mediocre. We ate there on our first night but, then found more reasonable places to eat. The refrigerator was really small with no freezer

The pool air quality was poor. Very humid so we didn’t use it. Also, when people were exiting the pool they were trailing puddles of water and leaving the lobby floor wet and slippery. It was a definite liability I also understand that the hotel is pet friendly. However, there should be some restriction on the weight of the dog. There was one in particular that was a larger breed and very aggressive. This caused me a little stress when he was in the area. Someone also pointed out that a dog tracked poop into the elevator. The owners need to clean up after their dogs
