Breakfast was good, but was the same for all 3 days I was there. Fruit (bananas) wasn't really fresh, hash browns were a little soggy - not crispy (were in a streamer pan). Would have liked to see some link sausage and a waffle iron with batter would be a great addition! Room itself was amazingly functional - probably the most functional hotel room I've ever stayed in, Lots of space that made me feel like I didn't have to put my duffle on the bureau! Lots of functional touches that really made it an EASY stay, Nice clean linens, great shower pressure and plenty of hot water!

Bed was a little soft. Traffic noise was constant - I am not used to that. Folks in the room next door kept going in and out (probably 15 times in 45 minutes) around 10PM and kept letting their door slam. Super irritating.

Perfect location in the west town area of Chicago, situated between two blue line train station for an easy trip from O'Hare. Quick bus ride to Milwaukee Ave where lots of great stores are located. The Kennedy Rooftop is really nice, insane view of the city from there. Complimentary breakfast is great and very nicely set up. Housekeepers, valet staff, bar staff and receptionists were all very kind.

Bathroom water pressure was very awkward. The shower was difficult to work with, pressure was really high, caused a little flood on first use. Eventually figured it out but I couldn't have a light shower.

Great location as we were staying for a show at the Chop Shop- walkable distance— just a straight shot down the road! Friendly staff, comfy room- LOVED the shower head/ water pressure. Wasn’t expecting more than continental but the included breakfast was tasty- bfast taco fixin’s, french toast, parfait stuff- tasty. the noon check out was nice as we didn’t feel rushed to leave.

mattress wasn’t the most comfortable and there were stains and splatters on some fixtures in the bathroom, the mini fridge was more of an insulated box than something meant to cool things down, our window view was straight into someones private home/balcony- but the blackout curtains were nice!

everything was wonderful!! the maintenance man was so very helpful in helping us install personal toilet handles for mom in our room. The staff was very quick to get us extra blankets, towels, etc.

There were no toilet handles in the hallway bathrooms for handicapped persons. The door sign has handicapped on it, but there were no handles for the handicapped person to use.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is close enough to Wicker Park food/entertainment, though not right on the same block (it'll take a 15 min walk). Rooftop area was great to relax at. The spacious layout of the rooms was fantastic, it actually made me want to sit and relax on the sofa and enjoy the room more.

Valet parking was a bit more expensive than expectations. The rooftop restaurant/bar closes very early - I understand maybe it's a restaurant for seeing the sunset first and foremost but it would be take this hotel to exceptional to have a place to unwind by the fire/look over the city lights later in the night after a full day of Chicago fun.

The hotel is conveniently located near my family in Wicker Park. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

The breakfast was limited for someone looking for vegan options. The fruit salad unfortunately contained unripened fruit and there needs to be a selection of multigrain or whole wheat breads and bagels. Would love to see a smoothie bar with greens, frozen fruit, oat milk, flax seed, etc.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and offered many hot options. The rooftop patio was wonderful. I do wish it stayed open a bit later but overall it was a wonderful stay.

Wish the rooftop patio stayed open a bit later but overall this was the only complaint.

Spacious room, nice variety hot breakfast included, Amazing view of the Chicago Skyline.from the 7th floor where the registration desk is located

Didn’t realize it was Valet Parking only $45 a night Accidentally turned into a side parking garage and the door didn’t open. we were caught sticking out in traffic. Garage attendant saw us and opened the door) (The way our map took us was past that door which said “Parking” -We didn’t know what to do. Not big city folk.

We are very satisfied with our stay at Hyatt Place. The staff are wonderful, fantastic service. Breakfast was simple, but had everything we needed. The hotel is very clean and had great beds. Some rooms have a nice view of the skyline in the distance, other rooms are out towards the street. The view in the lobby area/rooftop bar is nice, we loved sitting here with the view of the skyline. The hotel is a ten minute walk from Division underground station, very easy to get to the city centre from the hotel. There is a fastfood place and a diner right across the street and many other nice restaurants not far from the hotel.

The sound insulation between rooms was good, but there is a open space under the door, which means if the neighbors go in and out a lot and cleaning staff in the mornings sound very loud as there is no insulation out to the hallway. The doors slam as you close them. Also quite a bit of street noise if your room is facing that way. We wish the breakfast had lasted longer than 09 o clock on weekdays as we were on vacation. Staff told us it was hard to get a taxi to the hotel since many taxis don't prioritize coming this way. But it was very easy with Uber/Lift.
