White Water

Location was amazing. We had an oceanfront room with huge patio facing the ocean. Loved it! Watching the sun set was everything. The beds were like sleeping on clouds So comfortable. We also loved the outdoor tub!

The room was gorgeous but there was this outdoor lounge area that was awesome but very dirty. The pillows needed to be cleaned or at least brushed off. Also the remote didn’t work well but we didn’t realize it until very late so we couldn’t get batteries and basically couldn’t use the tV or music etc. It’s a bummer you can’t see the ocean while you’re sitting in the outdoor tub! think I would have swapped out where the outdoor lounge is and the tub. Then you might be able to see the ocean while in the tub.

White Water is on a magical beach — force yourself to get up at dawn and go for a run (like I did!) or a walk (see my photos)... The boardwalk is easy to navigate and just across the street from the hotel, and if you want to get down to the beach proper (depending on what the tides are doing!) there are many options along the way. Seeing the sun come up is not to be missed, and watching the early surfers is mesmerizing. My hotel room had a VERY comfy bed (I loved the crisp cotton sheets) and a swoon-worthy bathroom. But what really put the experience over the top for me (and has prompted me to write this review) is Brian Alcantara, the assistant general manager, who couldn't have given me better service. No matter how great a location a hotel has, one's experience rises and falls on how the staff supports guests' stay. (I also dealt with a terrific evening staff person — I'm sorry to miss her name — who got a maintenance person very promptly into my room to fix a problem with the in-room fireplace)

Two recommendations: Ask for a room close to the beach! And come with your own food and snacks. There are a few nibble-ish things to be ordered in the reception area, and there are the familiar pricey chocolate and whatnots on offer in the room, but be aware that the "Morning Offering" that is delivered to your door is not a breakfast... more like a coffee/tea/OJ whet-your appetite for something else starter-- even if it comes in a darling Istagramable Red-Riding-Hood basket.

We loved the quaint, soothing ambiance of the whole lodge. We looked forward to the morning basket of pastries, hot coffee, and mimosa kit! The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Amazing views and easy access to the beach and boardwalk.

Just know that the lodge is located a couple miles from the main town. We would have to drive to get to town. You could take the bikes the lodge offers, which is really nice, but we chose not to as we had kids with us and would have to be riding a little bit on the PCH.

When booking, it appeared from Bookings.com that this was a property by itself on a high point overlooking the bay, when in fact it is a narrow property in a line of other narrow bnb style properties across the road from the bay - so no view, and not 2. breakfast was poor - bakeries not tasty, no need for sparkling wine for breakfast! 3. on checking, I was told that I was not exp Fred till the following night, despite an email directly from the hotel as well as Bookings.com confirmation - luckily they had a room for us

Breakfast was delightful our room was amazing and the location was perfect! We also were pleased with the EV charger in property. Charging our was easy and convenient. Staff must be mentioned. They were absolutely amazing Making our stay even more enjoyable..

Honestly, nothing could have been better. This is a wonderful property and we plan future Trips to White Water for sure. No matter what time of Year or weather, it’s perfect.

modern features, lots of windows, staff, lite “dinner” and bar available, location was exceptional, staff was lovely and helpful. Destiny was of particular help guiding us to a wonderful hike in Harmony to Harmony Cove. Destiny to Harmony … has a nice ring to it. bikes are available for guests and a fire pit was nice a “ breakfast” basket of coffee pastry oj and brut arrive to your four daily. sweet touch but not breakfast. breakfast can be found nearby.

We toured the west coast for a month, stayed in rather expensive hotels and this was the only one offering some kind of breakfast without additional charge. So thumbs up for that. The location was also amazing, fron row beach accommodation and sunset view deluxe. Very well curated, beautiful design details, quiet and clean.

Unfortunately the room did not have any outside seating options and the car parking was right in front of the window. An unobstructed view of the icean would‘ve been nicer. The windows are US standard (i guess), so it got a bit damp in the room during the night.

Everything was perfect! Loved the adorable details included with our stay. A picnic basket with our breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. They provided good coffee and pastries. We were able to order food on site and it was prepared well. They packed it in a picnic basket to take to the beach. A beach basket with towels and a picnic blanket was available to the guests as well as bicycles that were available to us anytime. The location is perfect! The beach is only steps from the inn. Truly top of the line as far as accommodation is concerned. Excellent quality and worth the price.

Everything was to my liking! I liked everything it had to offer.

the property was exceptionally clean and the rooms were gorgeously decorated. the daily morning coffee delivery was delightful.

Walls of the room were a little thin - construction felt a little cheap. for the price, rooms were a little less than impressive. you’re really paying for the decor and ambiance. poor wi-fi and cell service - though this could be said for most of Cambria.

Very clean and nice - bed was extremely soft and comfortable for those that love a soft bed. The television is set up to play oceans sounds since you can't quite hear them from room and it adds a really nice touch. Breakfast delivery basket to room was great.

Could step up the breakfast game with something warm, maybe a bit of both sweet and savory. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear neighbors a bit.
