Our room was amazing, newly refurbished, spacious and very comfortable. Excellent food and the facilities covered everything we were looking for.

Unfortunately due to new members of staff, our evening dining experience could have been a lot better. More training is needed, it appeared that these staff members had received little to none. The indoor pool was restricted for children, 1000 - 1600hrs was adults only which was very disappointing.

Loved the whole feel of the hotel, was cosy and had much to do……walks, bikes you could use even had wellies you could borrow.

Food!! Ended up on the kids menu as we felt it had a more hearty feel to it. Breakfast we felt was a little limited too. Also they have selected time on where children can eat and swim which I feel was fine, however having a rather grown up daughter, it did feel like we were kind of a burden. I went to eat in restaurant and because I have my girl we were referred to the side room. Paying the same as other guests so did find this a little off putting!!

Lovely room, all new decor since last visit. Outdoor pool open, large 8/10 people outdoors hot tub next to pool Great to have the outside area up and running. Tasty seasonal food, lovely friendly staff.

Bit pricey. Evening dinner service a little dysfunctional with meals going to wrong tables and our starter coming out after mains. Short of a front of house at evening dinner maybe? Breakfast had too many front of house. Breakfast good quality, would have liked black pudding and backed beans as an option with the cooked breakfast! Save having to asked for a thimble full of tomato sauce. 12.5% service charge steep at dinner. Whilst around pool would have been good if someone could have done a round to take drink orders. There was an outside bar but nobody behind it. Very good but still room for some improvement.

I loved the old estate feel but with the quirky modern touches. The outside pool is a great luxury touch and in the sunshine makes for the most perfect British holiday.

We were only told on arrival that there was building work and maintenance outside our room. We had booked one of the most expensive rooms with a private hot tub and were met by workers right on our doorstep. I understand that the property is going through new renovations but for the money we paid it would have been nice to have been told on booking or maybe have been compensated in another way.

Set on its own private 30 acres, the very moment you walk in, you can feel the history of the building. Our room (# 14) was wonderfully spacious and decorated. The large bathroom furnished a large bath, and rainfall shower and was absolutely spotless. Also, the Nespresso machine and a fridge with fresh milk add to the extra comfort. We loved the room so much that both nights we ordered room service, which was perfectly cooked. We did, however, use the very spacious lounge for lunch, which had wonderful views of the property. There is a fully equipped gym, outdoor pool, and spa facilities. We also walked the huge grounds, as you are free to explore at your leisure. What sets the Bishopstrow out beyond the decor and facilities is by no doubt its staff. The bar lounge staff, our room service delivery, our housekeeper, and reception were all so warm and genuinely friendly that had we not had a plane to catch, we definitely would have extended. If you were looking to treat a loved one to a weekend away or as a birthday or wedding gift, this is your place. We will definitely book again.

It was our 27th wedding anniversary and we loved the place, our dog Bella was extremely at comfort and had plenty of outside garden space to play and the staff were amazing and made us feel very welcomed from the start. We both loved the hotel and surroundings, along with the Steam and Sauna Room, not forgetting the amazing tropical feel shower and indoor swimming pool etc... very relaxing and welcoming. Great quiet location and very relaxing...Excellent. We would definitely visit and recommend again.

My wife is Vegetarian, so there was not much choice and the kitchen were not able to provide a good vegetarian dishes for dinner, which was very disappointing as it was our wedding anniversary and i did message in advance of the dietary requirements, which were not met.

We booked a junior suite with hot tub which was perfect. The room was spacious, with a large seating area and superb ensuite. The hot tub was in a small courtyard which was private and had a seating area with 2 comfortable chairs where we sat after our dip in the tub. The steak and lamb we had for dinner were delicious and the breakfast was served at our table and very varied. The staff were very helpful, nothing too much trouble.

We were a little surprised at the cost of the food and drinks. Seemed a little expensive.

You should be ever so proud of what you have achieved at Bishopstrow. The location, quality historical property and exceptional staff all combine to produce the very highest quality and thoroughly relaxing stay for Karen and I. The accommodation was top quality too with comfortable bed and great double shower. Breakfast was included for us, and I was very impressed with the range of options and local produce. We also took advantage of the restraint and were equally impressed, so booked a second evening meal. We travelled a long way, from North Lincs, and we were very pleased with what greered us for our 4 night stay. We will definitely be staying here next time we are down visiting the area. Thank you to you and your great staff, we loved it. 10 out of 10.

The end of the stay. They were erecting Christmas 🎄 and preparing for the festive season when we left, I wish we had booked a longer stay.

we went here for my wife's birthday weekend the hotel is stunning old house with outbuildings for hotel rooms , The room we had was really nice , bathroom was stunning walk in shower and stand-alone bath , i had ordered flowers to my room which the hotel organised for me , breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice , we had diner on the outside dome which was an amazing experience, we had an amazing time thank you

i had pre booked quite a while in advance, there was lots of special offers from the hotel after i had booked which would of saved a bit .. however the place was well worth what i paid

Fantastic from the moment we arrived. Out room wasn't quite ready when we arrived so we had a drink in the beautiful lounge area. Staff were all so friendly and polite. Room was superb and so spacious. The roll top bath was a lovely surprise. Set in beautiful grounds and a lovely outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Indoor pool was lonely too as were the different sauna rooms and relaxation room. Mrs loved the spa treatment she had and the food in the restaurant was absolutely outstanding.

Really nothing to dislike about the place. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
