Common Farm Motel0

IThey don't provide breakfasts, but give you facilities (microwave, fridge, cutlery etc) to make your own. This suited me as most hotels don't serve breakfasts early enough for my purposes. Also bought some ready meals from a local Co-op to have in the evening.

I woke up in the small hours and unable to get back to sleep, I tried the internet, except I couldn't get the free wifi to work. Mobile reception was 3G, 4G was intermittent, perhaps the local mast was having problems.

Saw the cows in front of yard as i was not expecting to see the numbers of cows as they re so sweet. It was surprise me and very good car park space and I was disappointed that there were no cows in the morning as I miss them as it was real nature and I need to see like that during my stay I would like to stay at the same place again in the future.

In the bathroom there is no blind i would like to ask the owner to put the blind as i felt that is expose of my privacy please put the blind up in the bathroom please thank you

Due to work changes we were late checking in and The ease of the owners made our stay so relaxed. Nothing was a problem. Was such a pleasure to stay in a welcoming motel. Rooms were massive clean and everything you needed. Towels in abundance. Cleaned everyday. Toiletries topped up. Microwave and a kitchen equipment if you stayed longer. We stayed here to access alton towers and was perfect 20 min drive away. Shower was great. Would highly recommend staying here Beds were really comfortable. Totally bonus when you lay in bed you can see the stars on a clear night through the sky light was so beautiful.

The heating was set on a timer so you couldn't turn it off but this is such a minor I absolutely loved staying here.

I loved the genuine warmth and welcome of our hosts and the thoughtfulness of our room setup. It was very clear to us that our hosts were very keen to ensure that we had a fulfilling stay. They were also keen to improve on any new developments (Covid friendly breakfast baskets!). My only suggestion to other travellers would be to request the quieter rooms further from the road so that you can have your breakfast on the tables thoughtfully provided outside the room overlooking the fields!

Our son was a little frustrated by the lack of plugs/wifi but we had no problems in our room.

The motel is on a working farm and the rooms are in one of the out buildings, there was parking and some seats outside if we wanted to use them, the host was very welcoming and showed us round the rooms, we have a fridge, microwave, tv and a folder with lots of useful information. Breakfast was available as a continental basket, which includes pastries and cereal and water and juice too, all of this for £4 was great value for money.

Good value for money. Comfortable. Clean. Microwave and fridge in each room good idea. Family room perfect for us to gather all together for breakfast etc. Liked motel set up. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again. Didn't use breakfast baskets but a great idea. Near to very good eating places and half an hour from alton towers which was great for us.

Nothing we can think of

The owner/host Bob was there to greet us and was extremely friendly, accommodating and patient. His place is amazing as you arrive you know that you will enjoy your stay and its extremely peaceful. The rooms are large and generous and everything up to the smallest details is taken care of. What a wonderful place to stay!

Only 30 mins from Alton Towers. We had the family room and it had a little kitchen with everything you needed, ample hot drink facilities, bathroom had everything even cotton pads and buds. Beds very firm and comfortable. We got there 30 mins after our arrival slot but Bob didn’t mind at all. There are breakfast baskets you can purchase to take to your room for the morning too. Beautifully converted barn with outside seating available. It was perfect for us. Just wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Bob for making us so welcome.

Very cosy with lots of character, ideal for a family with everything you need for a short stay, we will definitely return in the future.

Few stains on the sofas and a little dusty in places, mainly top of pictures but nothing that spoilt our stay in anyway.

Ideal location for the purpose of our trip, very happy with the room, had a good night's sleep as the bed was very comfortable and clean. Room space and parking was great. Breakfast hamper choice was good value. Good customer service, would definitely visit again.

Only suggestion would be to have more visible advance roadside signage, as it's location is on a busy road so advance indication would be more helpful.
