Really beautiful rooms and amazing staff! The food in the restaurant was great too, my wife and I are vegetarian, which they catered to brilliantly. Really good food! In leaving, I left my electric Toothbrush behind and they were so kind and actually posted it to me!

The room was amazing but we were on the second floor so didn't get much sleep as could hear the people above us walking about on the creaky floorboards for most of the night. In the morning I asked if we could move us to a room on the floor up which they did and it was perfect!

The Little George is a lovely place to stay in an ideal location on the main corner of the bustling little Staffordshire town of Eccleshall. Our room was fresh, clean and contemporary with great facilities, a comfy bed and plenty of space. The shower room had a powerful shower and was well-stocked with fluffy towels and fragrant toiletries. The breakfast in the café/bar was a treat. The porridge was thick and creamy, the yoghurt and granola with honey was delicious and the hot breakfast was certainly generous. The mini omelettes in particular we’re a nice touch. The hot drinks were quality too: the teapot was certainly not dribblesome and my flat white was spot on! Eccleshall itself is bustling little town and there is no shortage of places to eat a meal or just grab a coffee and cake. The shops are individual with no chain stores which was welcome and a rarity these days. I’d thoroughly recommend Eccleshall for a short stay and The Little George provided an ideal base with a touch of class.

Very confusing rules for breakfast which ended up costing £30 for 2 people. Menu should be updated to explain if breakfast was not booked in advance the explanation on the menu did not apply. It is disappointing as could not book breakfast in advance on booking.com anyway as would have booked it. For this sort of money I would expect a full breakfast buffet.

The room was one of the best hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. Beautifully appointed. Felt luxurious. Loved there was a Bluetooth sound bar in the room and in bathroom mirror! Staff were really helpful and friendly.

The breakfast wasn’t great if you don’t eat meat. Would’ve liked to be able to have a veggie full English or a veggie sausage butty. The coffee wasn’t great. I think it was a bean to cup machine, in which case, fresher stronger beans are needed.

Breakfast was an extra at £9.95 each but was of a good quality. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There was a mini fridge with various beverages and fresh milk, and water was also provided.

The toilet would not flush properly and there was no air freshener available. Also, nowhere to hang the used towels. On return late evening, we, along with another guest, found that we were locked out, but the proprietor was very soon on site to let us in.

The bar and our room were both gorgeously decorated & very comfortable. Nice shower with good supply of toiletries. The mini bar was well stocked. Nice desk so I could work. They have won an award recently and it is well deserved. Food & service was impeccable. Good parking & outdoor seating. close to the high street which is nice to walk through & plenty of places to eat & drink

Only comment would be that the WiFi may need a boost. I tried to work whilst there and it was a bit patchy

Beautifully decorated with thoughtful amenities. Perfect location for exploring the area with easy access to the village to eat or shop. The staff had a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ approach which added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely stay again

Welcome by staff. Shown to our room. Spacious and unique - eg beams as an old building, and clean room plus good sized bathroom. Secure as locked door separating the accommodation from the pub. Plenty of parking. Very good breakfast in the pub/cafe area.

A bit noisy in the evening as by the roundabout in the centre of Eccleshall - as it appears the town has no bypass - so quite a few lorries and no secondary glazing for the sash window. Quiet at night for sleeping. Green Light for fire system stayed on - so not complete darkness for sleeping. No food in the evening - would need to book nearby.

Spacious room and decorated nicely. The pub/bar was lovely downstairs and the oatcakes at breakfast were very good!

Check-in is done in the pub which was busy when we arrived, as it's not very big down there it was a little cramped with all our bags. The natural lighting in the room was also very dark.
