Consort Hotel

The staff were helpful and patient with my group, I really applaud that they were able to deal with 26 travellers hassle free, thank you and well done The rooms and areas were spacious and airy check-in was smooth Lots of parking spaces The vending machine was well stocked Breakfast was excellent and always ready on time

The beds were not well laid not enough tissues and the toilets were a bit dirty. The bath has some dirt too One of the rooms we booked had issues with the key, it would be nice if they work on this to avoid someone else having the issues, maybe changing the lock to a key. The rooms were not equivalent to the price in my opinion Wi-Fi was very slow Some things were broken like the wardrobe handle (but I'm glad we were not held responsible for stuff like this)

The room was big enough and warm.. The bed was comfortable. Decent enogh for a nights stay.

At the time we stayed there were issues with the tv.

Full English breakfast was excellent, had only booked room and breakfast and cannot fault either,staff were friendly and very helpful, would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay again next time I am in the area 😀

Everything was OK

Stayed three times, and everything was perfect for what I needed. Well worth the money, it's not a 4 or 5 star. If I wanted that, I would have booked one, I just wanted a nice clean place to stay with comfortable beds. The rooms are very big, clean, plenty of facilities, my room on every occasion had two big wardrobes much bigger than I have at home, try finding them in other hotels, you won't. Car parking area is huge and safeI, and clean, like the whole area, no litter laying around. Very easy to get to from any direction, travel around 2 miles and you area at a shopping precinct, with a morrisons, etc. I will definitely use it again when I am in the area.

Everything from beginning to end Price was well within my budget. Important was the safe car parking at no extra cost, with no booking necessary. Check-in was faultless. The room was bigger than I expected, with a good-sized bathroom. A very big wardrobe with plenty of hangers, the kettle was a full size, unlike at other hotels where they are just big enough to make a couple of cup's, (I like my tea). The area around the hotel is quite pleasant and, above all, no traffic noise while trying to sleep. The bed i used was lovely and soft. The other had a bit of a squeak and a little harder. Luckily, I had a choice of two. To sum up, I will use the Consort Hotel again if I am in the area. Oh, and by BTW, the advert says you will need to pay a deposit for the TV remote. Well, they have changed, now you do not.

The room was clean as was the en suite bathroom, I could have done with an extra pillow but that is just my preference, there was plenty of hot water to shower and bath, there was a decent size telly which makes a change, there are tea and coffee making facilities which for me wouldn’t have been enough but I always take my own anyway, the bed was comfortable and the room was warm. We opted to have a cooked breakfast to set us up for the day which it did, could maybe have done with some more orange juice but the glass I had sufficed. There is a bar and restaurant so you can have an evening meal if you wish, there is also an Indian restaurant across the road, there is ample parking that I could see and it was nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area and recommend to others, overall for the price we paid it was more than adequate.

I’ve only one wee gripe, which is the fact there is a bath but there was no plug, with only having a wet room at home I was really looking forward to having a bath. I managed to improvise using a travel bottle of treseme which fitted in the plug hole and I had a lovely hot relaxing bath.

The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and our bed comfy. The hotel was quiet. Breakfast was great. well cooked and tasty, my husband had a full English with toast and juice and I had a bacon sandwich with juice. The price was excellent and very good value for money. There was plenty of room to park and it was free.

We were told that the hotel has just been taken over and the previous owners left in a hurry which accounts for some repairs needing doing, we had a tv in our room but no way of watching it as the aerial didn't reach. Furnishings are in need of some TLC but were adequate, especially for the price paid.

Luckily I had a working TV in my room which I was able to watch netflix on after connecting it to wifi. I tried the breakfast one day and it was reasonable. So not a bad choice if your looking for a bed and breakfast, it was ideal for me and my pet for 3 nights. The bathroom was a good size

The duvey was very thin. And as lovely as the cleaners were I wasnt expecting them to go into my room while I was out. Would have preffered to have the toilet roll left outside my door. The bin was also very small more like a bin for the bathroom

Good price for what you get. Returning customer, they are obviously providing a good stay. I stayed for one night on 4 occasions, rooms are big, with a big wardrobe, big bathroom, big bed. The only thing not big is the price. About 2 mile from a morrisons super store, I went there for my meals, very good value.

Nothing. Reasonably quiet, local traffic dies down around 10 o'clock, you can not here the motorway. So all good.

The staff were happy to help all the time. Kim and Peter were especially welcoming. They always said hello to us and had a chat. Professional but not too strict, felt homey. Beds were comfy. The room had plenty of options of lights. The place was close to shops and the hotel provided a lot of information on the surrounding areas.

No lock on the bathroom door Toilet didn't flush properly. Wifi didn't work properly. Plug sockets left on in hallways and the lobby, I'm guessing after staff used it to vacuum. We had to be moved rooms a few times and given new cards as the locks on the doors didn't work all the time.
